I am someone with low Amh. They are seeing 4 follicles which are growing on day 10 of stimulations. Wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and if there are any successful stories.

4 follicles on day 10
Hi Scout,
I had 5 follicles on day 9, I was so upset, I had heard the stories of people having 15/20 plus. I thought that we had no chance with such a low number. At collection on day 12 they retrieved 7, 5 of which became blastocysts. Currently pregnant with my fresh transfer and 3 in the freezer. The first 4 were such good quality that they didn't recommend freezing the 5th.
Don't get too hung up on the amount if you can, hopefully the ones you do have are all mature and good quality as that is more important.
Fingers crossed for you x
Hey ScoutJust wanted to share that I have low AMH and AFC and have had reasonable results so far. On my first round of IVF I had only 3 follicles growing on my final scan before collection. On EC day they managed to get 4 eggs, all 4 fertilised and made it to day 3. In the end I had a 5 day transfer with one blast and another one frozen on day 6. Unfortunately it did not stick but it was encouraging to get a good result with such low AFC. On my second round in Jan things did not go as well. I had 4 follicles visible on my scans but they only got 2 eggs and only 1 fertilised. I had a 3 day transfer with it and I am currently 5 weeks 1 day pregnant.
So i guess what I wanted to say is that yes, it is really hard having low AMH and AFC (especially when other people get 20+ eggs) and it can feel hopeless sometimes, but there are many women with low AMH who have success with IVF. It really does just take one egg to make a baby. Some rounds go better than others so please don't be disheartened. Sending you lots of luck on this round xx
Hey don’t get down hearted . I have low amh and low follicles as well - my first cycle was terrible , just 3 eggs and one fertilised . On the second cycle I had 5 eggs of the right size on the scan before collection , but on collection day they managed to get 13! They are quite bewildered how my response improved dramatically between cycles . I’ve always had around 5-7 follicles on scans but for some reason I got more this time . I’m just waiting to see how many embryos I have - terrified !!! Hopefully having fresh transfer on Friday . All the best and try not to feel down about your amh - I don’t think it is everything xxx
My AMH is 2.1 and I'm 33.
Pls don't loose hope you only need 1! My cycle i had 3 follicles throughout. On my last scan 2 more showed up but were small. On collection day they got 4 eggs. All 4 fertilised and I had a 3 day transfer with best quality one. The other 3 were left to go to blastocyst 2 made it and are now safely frozen.
With my 3 day transfer I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. I had totally lost hope when only 3 were showing up but the nurse kept on saying with my low AMH my reaction to the drugs was good and not to worry. But agree its so hard not to worry when other people get 15- 20+ eggs.
Quality not quantity! Wishing you all the luck on egg collection day x x
Hey. I am similar to the ladies above. I only collected 4 eggs 1 does and 3 made it to 5 day blastos. My first embryo resulted in my now 3 year old daughter. I had a FET in July last year which didn’t take. I then used my last egg in September and I am now 26 weeks pregnant with my son. All from 1 round and 3 eggs. Please don’t give up hope my amh is very low and I was 32 when I started xxx
I also have allow amh, I had around 8 follicles but all but one was empty! I am now 8 weeks pregnant with my only egg from a 5 day blastocyst
Wow. These are all very encouraging stories. Thank you so much guys. Will keep you posted. Next scan tomorrow.
Quick update. 5 follicles. Trigger tonight!
Hi I'm just back from my first follicle scan on day 8. I had 2 small follicles on the left and 4 on right which were measuring between 11mm and 14mm. I am back in on Monday and praying the other two grow. If I only get 3 eggs the NHS don't fund any further rounds. The nurse said don't focus on the numbers focus on the quality. It gave me some comfort along with reading people's success stories!
