Hi Beautiful Ladies, I am currently 10weeks and 5 days pregnant. After suffering from infertility for the last 4 years we managed to conceive with the help of IVF. This is our 1st cycle and couldn’t be happier that we’ve come this far. However, I’m and I’ve been worried all the time which takes over all of my joy of being pregnant for the 1st time. I’ve been spotting since week 7, initially red blood then turned brown very quickly with mild cramps. Which lasted a week and then started again at 8 and a half weeks with very dark brown light spotting. We took a private scan and everything looked fine, I was so so relieved. Then again suddenly yesterday the spotting started again. Can’t really say spotting as it was kind of heavy for 5 minutes. Mixture of dark brown and reddish to start with then turned to light spotting, dark brown again associated with mild cramps. Sorry for blabbering on about this but I just feel that I’m spotting way too much and is it somehow related to endometriosis? Although I didn’t have any cysts when we started treatment but my body likes to reserve old blood (reason I have endometriosis) naturally. Wondering if anyone here had the same experience during pregnancy with a history of endometriosis? My 12 weeks scan is scheduled for next week until then I’m just trying to be positive and not stress too much but it’s hard. xx

Hi Fazmin. It could just be down to the baby’s placenta forming. To start off with there is a chorionic villi which changes at about 8-10 weeks. It’s a common cause of spotting and old brown blood coming away. I would be reassured that your scan was fine and look forward to the next one to see how much baby has grown. Diane
Hi Diane, you’ve always been very reassuring and I can’t thank you enough for the information. As I mentioned it’s my very 1st pregnancy and I don’t know what to expect when. Google gives really mix information and I get more worried so I am staying away from searching online. Cannot wait for my next scan and praying everyday that all’s well. 💋💋
