First tracking scan.

So this morning I had my first tracking scan. I've been on meopur for 8 days.

So my lining is 8mm, right side around 21 follicles with the dominet one being 16mm and approx 4 between 11.5 and 13mm. Left were follicles were really hard for her to find, she said they were tucked behind my womb (not sure if this is going to pose any difficulties) had about 15-16 on this side, lead follicle around 14, and around 4 below that measuring between 10-13.

I have another scan on Friday and them they will see about egg collection. Nurse said its a lovely response to the stims. Anyone else had similar? Appreciate everyone is different.

Hi! That is a great response after 8 days 😄 my right ovary was always hidden and took a lot of prodding to get to and there were never any issues come EC (although it generally didn’t produce as many eggs). I’m sure you’ll be surprised how many more spring up in the next few days too!

Yes I had the same sort of reaction with 20 follicles on each side. The clinic therefore put me onto a freeze all cycle due to risk of OHSS (even though I felt absolutely fine!). So you might want to hear yourself up for discussions around freeze all! Xxx

Thanks makingbaby, when she said to me I had 21 on one side the first thing that popped into my head was thats too much surely! Ill bare this is mind thank you xx

Can I ask what a freeze all means, do they fertilise then freeze and come back at a later date for implantation? Xx

Yes exactly. They fertilise the eggs, keep them growing until blastocyst stage, then call you and tell you how many are suitable for freezing. I’m waiting to find out when my frozen transfer will be after my egg collection last month. Xx

Ah I see, ill prepare myself as this looks like it could be a possibility. So they have a recommendation on wait time until you can have the transfer after OHSS? Xx

Hi melonay glad all went well at your scan sounds like your responding great to the the stims , when do you go back ?

I had mine this morning I think they called out around 7 follicles not sure if sizes , from both ovaries ( but possibly only able to take from one side due to my endometrioma cyst ) I get all flustered & forget all the sides by the time I’m out of there 🙈. Got to go back Friday for another scan x

Hey butterfliez, thats really good, will you find out Friday a date for collection?

I have my scan Friday too! I just hope I'm not going to go into OHSS, its panicking me a little xxx

Yes I think they will tell me then , aww I hope you don’t have ohss, i have no experience of that . Fingers crossed for you x
