I had my transfer 10 days ago. My pregnancy tests (clear blue) have been getting stronger but totally deflated today after my bloods indicated a low postive, they are repeating them on Thursday.
Has anyone had any success with similar? I am distraught tonight.
hope it is a good result! more than the level, the most important thing is the doubling time and i have definitely heard of people with low HCG numbers going on to have healthy babies! and that is also really good that your home tests have been getting stronger - did you take one today and was it also looking pretty strong?
Thank you <3 I didn't as I am driving myself crazy. I have just noticed dark spotting so I think it's failed. Appreciate you taking the time to message x
Hi Laura, my levels were 28 at 8DP5DT. I expected the levels to be higher as I was getting positives from 4DP5DT.
My specialist said anything above 20 at that point is considered pregnant and had me do bloods again in 48 hours. And that’s when they would judge. Those came back at 56.5 and I am now 14+5 with baby measuring quite ahead.
I was worried sick at that point as levels started out what I considered “low” after comparing myself to so many other women who had higher numbers at that point. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
It’s weird how some clinics I’ve come to notice in the UK through this forum have a certain “threshold” as to how they expect it look at a certain day past transfer. That practice is looked down upon where I live and my specialist expressed distaste when I recalled what I read - the baseline levels do not matter, if they raise by atleast 50% in 48-72 hours and even better if they double in that time.
I sincerely hope your levels continue to raise and I wish you all the best.
Thank you so much for sharing your story, I really appreciate it. I am just home from having my bloods taken for the second time and waiting in anticipation of the phone call. I am praying for a miracle xx
