Hello, I have been tracking my ovulation with clear blue, I have got 4 flashing smiling faces so far, not peak yet.. should I carry on testing?
Ovulation : Hello, I have been tracking... - Fertility Network UK
Ovulation
Keep going! You should get your steady smiley soon! Xx
Don't worry and simply keep testing. I've had up to 6 days of flashing smileys (=rising estrogen levels) and peak days (=rising LH) afterwards x
Keep testing - the average person has 5 I think, that should be in the information booklet. I’ve had 9 before then got a peak! But more often than not when I was using them, I’d average about 5 days then a peak x
When I first started I got 6-7 flashing, the month after as I got a cold it was delayed and was over 10. Once you've tracked a few you know when to start testing so you don't have as many flashing. Have you had a scan? X
No, I m doing all by myself, as I am 42 I just want to test whether I m still ovulating or not
Ok cool, I've been tracking for the past 5 cycles for the first time too. Once you get a sense of the day you o, it's worth getting a progesterone blood test too. I did this by the third cycle and could tell doc to book me in for exactly 7 days after. They assume everyone o's cd 21. This confirmed i def o alongside the sticks. I also check my bbt so all bases are covered!
Would the GP accept this request? I m not supported now for infertility investigation, so I just assumed he won’t check any further
They should support your request. I was very frank with my gp, I'm 40 as well and said I'm exploring the possibility to see what my body can do. You really should be able to push for it. I got mine twice as first time my o took longer. I've found you need to be a bit more demanding (gentle nudging but open about what you need), which is not comfortable for me but it's helped.
Thanks for your precious advises, I had fertility referral back in 2015, discharged as secondary unexplained infertility, so I believe nobody would be interested in looking fuether
Carry on lovely I quite often get 3-4 days flashing and then a peak some months just one day flashing so I’d carry on. And I would definitely check in with your GP and look into what’s available to support you. Good luck 🤞🏽
