Embryo transfer and grading

Hi I had my first fet today. From the cycle we were told the egg was 4Ab but when it was defrosted today it was 3bb. The embryologist said that embryos change all the time from when they defrost? Has anyone had this happen? Thanks

I've never had this happen..but mine has also said the same to me

I currently have a 3bb blastocyst in the freezer (having transfer in the next few weeks)

I got advised this is a good grade. Wishing you all the baby dust 💫

I’ve had one that’s gone backwards a bit after thawing - it could also be that a different person graded it before freezing. I’ve had different embryologists grade mine completely differently when they’ve been reviewing them easy to decide what to transfer and it’s because it’s very subjective and some are stricter than others

Yes I agree. It was the same lady and she said they change all the time abd said it had defrosted well within 2 hours and was moving along nicely

Hello hun, this didn’t happen to me where the grading went down but I did have a 3BC graded embryo transferred in December. We are currently 8.5 weeks pregnant. We’ve had our scan and we had a healthy strong heartbeat. Fingers toes are crossedFor you. Lots of baby dust 😘
