I had a frozen embroyo transfer last year in November however I miscarried at 5.5 weeks where I had a bleed for few days with clots etc at the time the clinic advised me to continue taking my meds till I had my scan at 6 weeks as bleeding is common in early pregnancy I When I had my scan at 6 weeks there was no sac therefore I miscarried.
Then as soon as I stopped my medications (progynova and progesterone ) I think I had my period 2 days after stopping the medication which lasted 5 days.
However a week later now I am getting period pains and this is around the time my cycle is usually and I’d expect a period in next few days.
I am just confused as to what’s going on. When I first bled at 5.5 weeks that was the bleeding from the miscarriage. Then I assume I had a withdrawal bleed after stopping my meds. So now as I should be usually due my period does that mean I’ll have my period now as usual. I have never been through this before so any advice would be helpful
Thanks

So sorry about your miscarriage. The only thing you can be sure of really is that your cycle could do just about anything for the next month or two - you might be early, late, have some extra bleeding... it just takes your body a while to settle down. My cycle was often a couple of days shorter than usual even up to six months after my miscarriage, but the first month or two things will probably be very irregular xx
Aside the scan, did they also check your HCG levels? Just to make sure it's not an ectopic, which is dangerous. If they didn't, please get in touch with EPU!
Thank you for your replies. Yes the clinic said it could be ectopic however I had been to EPU hcg was checked no ectopic and was an early miscarriage and said I was no longer pregnant
Hey lovely. Im very sorry for your mc. Its just heartbreaking and a very difficult time. Hope you will find peace with it one day and for now i hope you manage.
Just wanted to say my period after a mc is never on time or the same. One time it appeared just after 12 days of withdrawal and this time it appeared late but very late. So i guess our cycles do get mixed up. Take care lovely x x
My periods after miscarriages have all been different. Sometimes I would bleed for the miscarriage and then have a period as normal 4 weeks or so later but very heavy. Other times I have stopped and started bleeding. Two other times I got pregnant straight away. I don’t think there is a right of wrong answer as everyone’s body’s are different xx
Really glad you asked this question.. Am kinda in simular position. I had very early miscarriage in November as well. Clinic took me straight off meds as soon as they saw how low my hCG results were. I bleed within a week of stopping meds. My periods are terrible heavy with large cloths normally so honestly it didn't feel any different (other than me being an emotional mess!) my period is always like clockwork down to the hour.. But there's no sign of it yet this month. The clinic were pushing me to have another transfer in January too.. Am glad I deferred it now until Feb to give my body a chance to get back into a normal pattern again.I know the last few Mt's have been very stressful and I don't doubt it may also have an effect on our bodies.. So mind n be good to yourself.. U been through a lot recently.. So if you can take a bit of time out and pamper yourself
I am so sorry for your loss too. It’s just heartbreaking isn’t it. I am in no rush to do anymore transfers I want my body to return to normality and will try again once I am ready. Sending you lots of positive vibes xx
