Can weekly ultrasound scans affect the baby.

Im pregnant 9 week and 3 days but I had bleed on Saturday went hospital she scanned me everything was ok but she goes im measuring one week less and said your 8 weeks and 5 days, so had called me again next week for scan but i want to put my mind at ease and book for private scan for this week can this affect the baby in how many ultrasound scan u have. Thanks

Hi I think ultrasounds are pretty safe I’ve had 4 already I’m nearly 17w, but for dating they put me 6 days ahead at the 12w scan and that’s the final dating, but I’ve just had a private scan said I’m now measuring a little smaller but said it’s fine within the normal which probably matches more my lmp date so good knows hopefully everything is fine I don’t think you can fully stop worrying.

No they’re fine, when I had IVF I had weekly scans up to 13 weeks and he’s now 18 months old xxx
