IVF Questions - can you help with the answers!

Hi

I’m 41 and this is my first ICSI round. We’ve been ttc for over 3 years and had an ectopic this January so we know it can happen albeit unfortunately not as hoped. I’m in the 2ww and feel like I should have more information than I do. I use these forums to try and find the answers! I flow between being a disheartened mess and seeing all the hard stories and then over hope when I see success lol. I’m sure that’s all natural. My egg transfer was 12tj December so I figure I’m 8dp5dt. All of our results are excellent - 6 top grade eggs in the freezer and one 5AA currently on board. There are no medical reasons found as yet as to why we can’t conceive and therefore I guess it’s down to abnormal chromosomes meaning nature takes its course or an undiagnosed issue.

Anyway these are the things I haven’t been able to work out:

How do I work out when my period is due (as all these drugs have suppressed the cycle I’m not sure how to work it out!) in the normal world I’d be mid flow now....

I’ve worked out I’m 8dp5dt fresh transfer.... think that’s right. From what I’ve read implantation should have happened by now? Is that right? If it hasn’t happened can it still or is it too late?

I did the fatal thing of testing yesterday on a clear blue ultra early.... it’s 7 days I’d I’m right ..... there was no hint of a line. I shouldn’t have done that I know - guess I’m looking for hope

I had some pretty bad pains on Tuesday which subsided by Wednesday, went for a scan and no issues. Today I’m having some pains .... my period pains are killers as in they double me over...these are like little lightning bolts every now and again.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Your period won't be due in the normal way, there's no way really to predict when you might or might not have a bleed. Yes your embryo would have either implanted or not implanted by now but that doesn't mean it would show up on a test just yet. You can get cramps when it has worked or when it hasn't worked - it's frustrating but no way really to tell what's going on in there for a couple of days yet. Wishing you luck x
