Is there any hope at all ?

I had a frozen transfer using a 5 day blastocyst.

Today I’m on day 10 which they call day 15.

I have just done my first test which is negative. They have advised to do another in a couple of days to rule out a false negative which they have advised is very rare but can happen.

Can anybody out there advise if they have had a similar experience which ended in the second test being a positive ?

Hi , my Clinc normally say test on day 14 after transfer, so you still have 4 more days yet don’t give up yet , a lot can happen in 4 days, sending you lots of baby dust xxxx

Thank you, i have questioned them and asked is it a definite negative and they have pretty much said it hasn’t worked but to do another test only in the slight chance its a false negative. They said as the embryo was 5 days old and I’m day 10 (they add those days together ) this means its past the 14 days. They advent given me much hope in their emails

Sorry to hear about the negative, very sad and heartbreaking for sure. From my experience, if it’s a negative at day 10, it’s a true negative. My clinic does a blood test at 10 days and if it’s a negative, they cancel the meds. I hope it’s a different outcome for you but best to be prepared. Hang in there xxx

Thank you for your reply. Feeling pretty numb this evening, i know ill pick myself up eventually ... what a horrendous year with one thing or another.

Yes, it’s been a shitter of a year, nothing has gone smoothly. Stay strong though. Ivf is a numbers game so eventually you’ll get there. Don’t give up hope xxx
