I'm new here but just needed to reach out and read and hear from people going through this journey.
So a little about me. I'm 34 and have been TTC for 3 years. We were finally referred last year and then had a lot of issues getting an appointment. They did all the tests and found nothing. I'm overweight but joined slimming world last year and have lost 3 and a half stone so far....although have just worked out that I still need to lose two stone to get my BMI to where the NHS like it, which depressed me!!!
I was put on clomid and am about to start my 5th cycle of it. The first two months on doses of 50 and 100mg didn't work so they increased it to 150mg and I wouldn't be getting any further blood tests to check for ovulation. I was a little late this month and got my hopes up a little but have started this morning and just feel like giving up. Lots of people I know are pregnant or have had babies this year and I've found it really hard. Bless the husband, he just keeps saying we will get there but I've got a very pessimistic outlook on it and really struggling! Any advice would be appreciated!
Hi jessgills. Well you are giving Clomid a good old try indeed! I think rest assured, that if you don't make it on Clomid, you can hopefully proceed to IVF. Unfortunately we can't alter the fact that others are succeeding when you are not, so just look after you, perhaps look into some counselling. I am sure the other ladies here will give you some "coping" tips. Thinking of you. Diane
