Hello, I would like to ask some advice please. I’ve had 3 failed ivf rounds in the U.K.
The first round I got 11 eggs using the drug meriofurt 225iu. This provided 2 good quality embroyos, 15BC and 1 frozen.
The second round my dosage of the same meriofurt was upped to 300iu but I only got 5 eggs and this round produced low quality embryos.
The third round I was reduced back to 225 meriofurt and I got again 2 good embryos but they sadly didn’t implant.
I’m now looking to go to a clinic in northern Cyprus and I’ve sent my medical records to them, they have look over my records and said they would put me on 375iu of a different drug called Merional.
This seems a very high dosage of the drug, and from past experience I haven’t don’t well on high drug dosage, although this is a different drug. Please can I have anyone thoughts on this and advice? Thank you

Have you spoken to the clinic about this? And have they seen your previous results?
Not all drug doses are comparable - so 375 of Merional may not be the same as 375 of Meriofort.
I think a lot of people on here will have a good news story but equally as many will have a bad news story, I think the best thing you can do is talk to the clinic, ask them for the reason behind the higher dose, make sure they have seen your previous results and have the debate with them
I know its so stressful when things change and we aren't in control and don't have all the details, but I also think its really important you go with medical opinion rather than experiences in this case if you see what I mean
Really hope they give you a decent answer and you feel happier - masses of luck for your cycle xx
Interestingly I've had a very similar experience - on 225iu Meriofert I do much better, on my last round I was put on 300iu Meriofert and we got half as many mature eggs and the quality of the eggs was a lot worse. For my current round I'm back on 225iu and my follicle count has gone back up. Sorry, I don't know anything about Merional, but was just intrigued that you've had a similar reaction to Meriofert! I see you're 35 and your AMH is just over 13 - I'm 41 but my AMH is the same. Wishing you lots of luck for your next steps xx
