Hello Ladies,

I'm new to this forum. I wanted to share my experience with you. I did my first round of ivf one month age. I was on 150 iu gonal and cetrotide. Egg collection was day 13 of cycle. They retreived 15 eggs, 13 fertilised and 2 made it to freezing both AB quality. I was very disappointed as high number of eggs resulted in only 2 embryos. I was given the option to do another cycle as we ate doing pgs. 2nd round same meds I only got 9 eggs and only 5 fertilised. I'm beyond devasted. Anyone had similar results and could share their story please?

Hi - my doctor explained to me that one round doesn’t really have a bearing on another. You need a bit of luck with timing and they can only push what your body has made for that month. Remember you need quality as well as quantity. 5 eggs might still make the same amount of blastocysts you had previously. You just don’t know yet. The best advice I can give you is to take one day at a time, don’t give up hope and try and stay positive for this cycle. Also having 2 x ABs frozen so far sounds a good start. Best of luck.

Thankyou so much for your reply. I really need some words of encouragement as all this process has left me so anxious. We are doing Pgs testing and Really hope we have at least one good little fighter.

In my country Ivf law is very restrictive and I had to travel to do Ivf abroad.

Im keeping strong. I'll get the final outcome tomorrow and hopefully will have some beautiful blastocysts. Xxxxxxx

So true... Thankyou dear xxx

These are fantastic results....two blastocsysts at AB is what dreams are made of. Five fertilised eggs is also very good. Try and be positive because these are very good results x

Unfortunatley none of my embryos from this cycle made it to blast. I'm so sad :(

The clinic say they do not know why.

These are great results. You have at least two goodies to pop back in. That’s fabulous. I retrieved 3 and one fertilised. I was really happy that one fertilised. Sadly, a baby it did not make! I’m going to give it another go in July/Aug. I wish you well. Sx

Unfortunately my second cycle was a total disaster. None of my fertilised eggs made blasts. Till day 6 all were morulas. My clinic does not do day 3 transfers. They said they have no answer to me why none made it. I did karyotype blood test and Panda blood test but after 6 weeks and 2 ivfs I do not have results yet... Im so frustrated with them. Is it normal not to get a baseline scan or any blood test to check hormones during cycle?
