Help! AF (2nd one) after failed IVF

Hi all- so I had my first fresh cycle which failed and I started to spot and bleed just before my test day. I am able to use my next natural period as my day 1 for a frozen natural cycle. Thing is I need it to come before 1st Dec for this year! Before all the meds I had 25/26 day cycles with spotting for a few days before! Today’s day 25 nothing TMI but not even discharge I’m completely dry no symptoms nothing! Any advice on when it might come? How to bring it on? (No I am not pregnant before anyone asks) let me know! Stressing out which I know I shouldn’t! Thanks x x

Hi Kellylouisela, unfortunately from my experience and other ladies on here, the first bleed post a failed transfer is a little bit loopy and probably won’t come when you expect it to. You still have 9 more days for it to show and that sounds like more than enough time for it make an appearance so you can start your FET. Good luck xx

Hi, no specific advice but do you know when you ovulated? Might be able to kinda guess from that point as the luteul phase tends to stay the same. I’m in a similar boat, first ivf failed last month my cycles are 25 days usually. I ovulate day 14 but currently day 20 and still waiting so I know my cycle will be about 30-35 days this time. You still have over a week I’m sure it will show it’s face soon! X

I stupidly didn’t think to track ovulation as I was just down the cycle didn’t work- I felt like a soreness in my ovaries day 10-14 which is pretty on time for usual and I had the tiniest bit of EWM. I also randomly had spotting on day 17 which lasted an hour. Since then nothing which is unusual for me I usually have discharge. It’s playing games with my head! Thank you hun! If yours starts then when will your transfer be? Xx

Not until next year, my review isn’t until 3rd December! But I’m just going to focus on Christmas and having bit of a break. Trying to get out of little rut I made myself when first cycle failed. Sounds like you had symptoms of ovulation about 17 days after so hopefully be next week sometime 🤞 I have had no EWM at all at which is Unlike my normal cycles but ovulation sticks are coming up positive last night. Feels never ending doesn’t it! You going straight into a frozen transfer? Wish you all the luck! X

I am fun! Oh so can brown creamy discharge mean ovulation? I thought at first it was my period coming early but then it’s nothing so you could be on to something! Yes I’m going straight back into one, we were v lucky and got 7 embryos so I have 6 left and just want to keep going altho you are defo right we need to enjoy Xmas!! I had only a little ewm which is unlike mine too xxx

My friend always gets little bit of spotting when ovulating her doctor said it’s normal so that might have been it! 6 embryos that’s fantastic! We’ve got 3 frozen feel very lucky as we were given 40% chance to get one. Keep us all posted with your future transfer I hope it goes well! And you come on soon! Seems like mines going to take some time to show her face always the same when I want her too she doesn’t! X

This happened to me! Periods were messed up and in the end I had some spotting. I’ve never ever had spotting so called the clinic to see if I could come for the baseline scan but they said no, it had to be like a full bleed. 2 days later I had some brown discharge and a tiny bit more spotting, called again and they still weren’t sure. Like you I’m on a schedule, must comeBefore 27th Nov to get a transfer before Xmas! So I was worried if this was it I W on or miss it if I didn’t have a scan! They said to come on Monday (this was Sat by now and they said but see how it goes tomorrow! If no bleed then it was just spotting!)

Sunday it stopped completely.

Monday nothing.

I spoke to a different nurse and she said come in anyway! Low and behold it turns out that WAS my period! Just one day of any sort of flow, and my liking was now thin and ready to start again! I’m sooo so glad I pushed to go in! Thought it wasn’t going to be it and it would be so messed up!

Our bodies react to the transfers / drugs so differently! I expect yours will come in a few days. You have time before the 1st!!! Good luck!

If it comes when you expect will you be testing before xmas??? X
