Well it’s officially over 😢

I’m 12dp5dt and have had excruciating pain in my abdomen with a slow bleed for a week.I’ve had a UTI and negative reactions to pessaries and pretty much house bound due to pain and breathlessness, with bloating, tender breasts and constipation. I’ve been in touch with my clinic and was told to do the HCG test early to my Friday 13th OTD ( I should have known then lol) which had come out negative and the reason for my pains and discomfort was due to the progesterone in my body without a pregnancy 😢 I’m 42 and so my odds were against me and in hindsight I should have genetically tested the embryos before transfer but the costs were an issue as we’d financed this ourselves,,,,, I’m sure my embryos were to blame and nature did it’s thing,,,,,,, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey it’s so hard and I was unaware of how difficult it was physically and emotionally ,,,,, To those who continue after a failed cycle you’re truly amazing women and you deserve to succeed,,,,,, We’re immensely blessed to already have children and so I hold onto that fact so dearly 🤗

I want to wish all you ladies the best on your journey to success ,,,, We’re all amazingly strong women to go through this process in the first place, to those who tried and failed I send my huge love especially ( I had the opportunity and so grateful for that) the pain emotionally though is horrific 😭xx

I’m so relieved to not have to take this medication anymore as it was destroying my existence,,,, bye bye crazy hormones 🙌🏻

I didn’t get any embryos to freeze this time. I’ve had 3 transfers and never had a BFP. I’ve got one more round but its hard to think positive that it will ever work after having bad luck so far xx

I’m 42,,,, was wondering if you’re having stimulated or natural ivf? Only my cycle I had was horrific with progesterone side effects and so if I did it again I would do a natural as I cannot use progesterone at all, I ended up in hospital because of it, my uterus was excruciatingly tender and inflamed which is hostile for any embryo ,,,,,, I was completely devastated and felt cheated by the process x Any advice would be great 😊

Hi Blue1978, that's really awful!! Glad your better. The 2 cycles I have had were both stim ones. The first was with 450 gonal-f and I got 5 follicles, 3 eggs, none made to blast. The last cycle was worse I was on long protocol so bcp for 21 days first then decapeptyl, gonal-f and luveris. That got me 1 follicle at 2.3, 2 at 13mm but did egg collection and nothing, no eggs! Awful so won't be doing that type again just not for me. Last week was egg collection and I am still in pain on leftside, very similar to endometriosis pain. With the first protocol I was on less meds, less side effects, less needles, I got more follicles and also more eggs I also recovered in a couple of days after egg collection. Very weird! Anyway I have ordered it starts with an egg and will give it a read. Currently I am on melatonin, testosterone cream, Elevit, coq10, vitamin e and d. My hubby is also on menivit, coq10 and vitamin D. Can't really say how effective a natural cycle would be as not done one with professional help. Only taken home ovulation predictor tests but never got pregnant, guess that's why went straight to IVF. Any sorry for the essay!! Goodluck!
