'Uneven, fragmented' embryos

Hi

I'm 43 years old and currently undergoing IVF (using eggs I froze at the age of 37 and my DH's sperm).

We received a day 2 update on our 7 embryos, with all having fragmentation (1 @ < 10%m 1 @ 10-20%, 1 @ 20-50%, the rest they haven't put a % again). On top of that, 4 of the 7 say 'uneven 4 cell'.

Has anyone had success with fragmented uneven cells? Can uneven cells, even up?

Over the phone, the embryologist said, there is nothing to be concerned about, but from what I've researched, none of that seems positive!

I really wouldn't read anything into it at this stage (hard I know!)

My last round we had the words we would never thought we would here - a perfect 8 cell embryo on day 3! When we had a day 5 call it had stopped doing anything about an hour later and actually our dodgy looking 6 cell and even more dodgy looking 10 cell had made it to day 5.

I think we all obsess too much about fragmentation, grading etc... understandable as we are all looking for a positive sign! From the years I have been on here there are people who have got pregnant with literally the worst possible embryos ever, and others who have transferred numerous top quality embryos and never got a BFP

Try not to overanalyse and just think positive as its all out of your hands now. Wishing you masses of luck x
