When to empty bladder question

Hi it’s my first transfer day tomorrow and feeling a mixture of anxiety and excitement,

Am nervous about having to have a full bladder. Normally wake up between 6&7 and transfer is 10.30am. Will I be ok to go to the loo first thing and then just down as much water before I go? I don’t want to jeopardise anything and want to make sure my bladder is full enough without me being bursting? Any advice would be welcome x

Hi lovely, I had exactly the same thoughts before going for mine last week. So this is what I did,,,,,, my clinic is a 50 minute drive so I emptied my bladder just before leaving and took a def caf tea with me for the journey,,,,,, it resulted in me bursting when I arrived and had to empty a bit in reception toilets before going through 30mins before procedure 😂 ,,,,, I was nearly bursting again when having the transfer but once laying flat it’s not so bad,,,,,, All the very best lovely 😊 it’s amazing to watch the procedure it really is Xx

Hi just wanted to say thanks for your prompt reply last night it helped me have a better nights sleep than I would have done. Hoping they will let my partner in today in light of social distancing 🤞🏻 Xx

They let mine in , as it’s the “grand finale” so to speak x Wishing you all the best and enjoy the experience as it is so fascinating to watch and I was very emotional with essentially what might be taking place 🤞🏻🤞🏻Xx good luck 😉

When i went for transfer on my last cycle I emptied my bladder when i left home then drank some water at the clinic Before my transfer to fill my bladder 😆 its just soo uncomfortable to have a full bladder for hours and sometimes they make u wait passed ur scheduled time

I ended up holding the toilet in too long and it was so so uncomfortable but I had to bare it they let me go to the toilet straight away after it they told me just to drink water on the way to my appointment but I drank it all morning and didn’t have time to go one last time 🙈 as long as your comfortably full I was the opposite 😂good luck 😌xx

Both times I have gone to the toilet when I have gotten to the clinic then drunk a half litre of water.

Thank you all very much for your replies I am happily reassured about going to the toilet this morning and just drinking plenty on the way to my appointment. Xx
