We have been trying for 3 years and are unexplained. We have been through 3 IVF/ICSI and only ever got 1 blastocyst out of over 30 eggs collected and average numbers fertilised.
The clinic has said it’s “probably” my egg quality even though I’m only 30 but I feel like that’s just a huge guess because they have no answers.
Our DNA frag test showed evidence of problems and we have been told that it could be a male factor. I’m not ruling out my egg quality as it has been mentioned but there’s no proof so I’m just not sure.
Has anyone else has this?

What what his fragmentation %? Did you have a big drop off of fertilised embryos between day 3 and 5? Have you tried different protocols of drugs or did the clinic have you on the same each time? X
How high was the DNA fragmentation? Ours is definitely due to that, one early blastocyst so far out of 20 eggs collected, but only 4 fertilised. My husband's average DNA fragmentation is around 50 xx
Hi LCharlton my husband’s DNA frag is 20% but our clinic also said that cud be the issue on embryos not growing beyond day 3. What advise have you been given for the DNA frag issue? We were told that we cud try extracting sperm directly as that may have better results. Thanks
My husband has needed a course of hormone treatment, but his issue is very severe and complicated, if your husband's is at 20% he wouldn't have the same problem x
Hello! Yes me, literally a few weeks ago! We went through 3 failed rounds and then my doctor said she thinks it’s probably my eggs although we should get my partners sperm tested with the dna fragmentation test which we will do. I am 33 and am not ready to say goodbye to my own eggs yet. Some lovely ladies on here recommended DHEA supplement which I will start taking. A lot of it comes down to finance unfortunately and if you can afford to keep trying rounds with your eggs, but I do think it’s worth looking at supplements and also buy the book it starts with the egg. Oh also have a look at coq10. Feel free to message me privately too, I know how you’re feeling xx
Sorry about that dear. I had similar experiences. I never got a blastocyst. Surprisingly, I concieved naturally 2months after my second failed IVF. Never give up
