Is it safe to have the trigger shot day 10?

hello ladies i am on my first IUI cycle after being a poor responder to IVF. my follicle is 22mm day 9. the doc told me to have my trigger shot tomorrow day 10 and IUI on friday? I'm not ovulating and my LH levels are low. is this wise. i know the follicle is ready but my body isn't in terms of LH level. normally ovulate day 14-16. will this limit my chances?

If you are really worried and this is going to be bothering you - perhaps just call your clinic to let them know your concern and see what they say?

You should be fine, its not to do with your normal cycle its to do with follicle size, your follicle is big enough to be viable and you don't want it to get any bigger, so triggering on day 10 in this round sounds very sensible to me. It doesnt mean that would always be the case, its a cycle by cycle decision. Good luck! x
