Does anyone know if you are supposed to take CQ10 only before and during egg collection? Or do you continue until embroy transfer? Thanks

Do you take CQ10 after egg collection
Hi there, I took it up to embryo transfer. There isn't quite enough scientific research of the benefits of it after transfer, so I decided to stop it then x
In It Starts With The Egg she suggests you could stay on it until confirmed pregnant as if the cycle fails you will have continued to support your eggs for the next round. Of course, really hoping it doesn't fail and you get a nice BFP xx
thank you so much! Are there any other supplements you suggest Im taking folic acid, vitamin d zinc and magnesium
There are lots of supplements and which ones depend a bit on your circumstances and some specific medical problems eg PCOS, DOR etc. CoQ10, folic acid (or the bioactive methylfolate), vitamin D, alpha-lipoic acid, and melatonin are some of the main ones for IVF. Vitamin E is also good, especially to help thicken the uterine lining after egg collection. I do suggest buying the book as it's inexpensive and it is quite interesting. I can't tell you if they all work as I am still waiting to start my first IVF(!) but as a scientist it has been really interesting thinking about egg development and quality. Also some things are hard to get in the UK but iHerb is a US-based site that is super cheap with pretty quick (often free) shipping and has absolutely everything! xx
