Hi everyone, I had scan yesterday and Clinic found 3folical only. I will do egg collection on Monday. Since I got 3, I am afraid what is going to happen. Silly questions but do any of you do anything before Egg collection. Hoping for the best.

Hi. I didn't really do anything before EC. I was at work until the day before which helped I think as it took my mind off it. I keep saying 3 is the magic number! I had 4 follicles, 4 eggs, 3 of which fertilised, 2 made it to good quality blastos, number 3 couldn't be frozen and now I'm pregnant. As always - quality over quantity! Good luck and keep us updated!xx

Remember they don't always see all of the follicles, so you may have more hiding! But definitely quality over quantity! I had 17, but they could only get 6 out as my right ovary had hidden behind my bowel and they couldn't get to it. Anyway 3 fertilised, but only 1 was strong enough to take to day 5 to be frozen. 2 months later that one was thawed and popped back, and despite some dramas I'm 5wks 2days pregnant! It does really only take one, just doesn't help our nerves when we don't get a back up!! Just put your feet up after EC, take a few days off work and don't lift a finger, be looked after if poss!! Good luck 😉 xxxx

Hi. I didn't do anything special before EC either. I had 8 follicles but only 5 large enough for collection. In there 3 mature eggs which all fertilised and went on to blast. One top grade put back in and one frozen with the other one being too small to freeze. It's quality over quantity x 6weeks one day pregnant today. It only takes one for a bfp x
