Ready to start first cycle!

Hi all,

I’m ready to start my first round of IVF when my next cycle starts which should hopefully be 10 days from now all being well.

I’m starting on 5 days of 150mg of Metaphur (might of got that wrong...).

Has anyone got any hint, tips or things to avoid during the stim period?

Also I wondered if anyone was in the same situation. We requested testing due me being convinced I had fertility issues as I have been unsuccessful in conceiving in a previous relationship. However my initial bloods and base line all came back normal. My partner has very low sperm count with reduced motility and morphology so we’ve been put forward for ivf with icsi. I’m still not convinced there isn’t something more to my body that has presented successful pregnancy in the past. Has anyone been diagnosed of an issue actually during the ivf process, having been given “the all clear” initially.

Sorry long post but grateful for any help, stories or suggestions.

I just wanted to wish you luck for your first cycle. My husband also has low count and motility so we had icsi. I convinced myself in my head something was wrong even though every test was clear. Try not to worry too much and keep positive nothing has been found. The time goes so quick and before you even know it you will doing egg collection. What protocol are you on ? Hi there!

Thanks so much for the reply. I’m on the short protocol so hoping for 11 days of stim before egg collection. I can see you’ve just had your implantation - wishing you sooooo much good luck for a positive result in 2 weeks!

Any tips for the stimulation period?

Yes definitely need to try not to stress or worry as that won’t help! Xx
