*sensitive* BFP anxiety

I did a natural FET on 1 September (5 day transfer). Had almost no symptoms but the last few days before my OTD I was waking up super earlier than normal which I had put down to anxiety but 2days post OTD still waking up early! Anyway I finally got my first ever BFP after 2.5yrs TTC!!! I’m less excited than I thought I would be though as I’m terrified about losing it 😢. Another sucky thing about infertility, once you get pregnant you can’t enjoy it like fertile couples because of the terror of miscarriage! I’m now waiting to book an appointment for my scan, I hope my clinic offers blood tests but I don’t think they do because I’ve never had my bloods taken during treatment there 🤔 do you think I could get them done at the GP surgery? I suppose I just wanted to rant about my anxiety on here, so don’t expect anyone to reply 😂 It’s been lovely seeing so many positive stories on here recently, I joined just before lockdown so it’s great to see.

Firstly congratulations! It's amazing news. I know how you're feeling. 3 years of numerous tests to be told we have unexplained infertility and in that time we never saw a positive test. 1 round of ivf, got pregnant first time with our only good blasto and I was anxious the entire way through until she arrived. Even having lots of extra scans due to having an autoimmune disease my anxiety would get worse and everytime I looked at the screen I thought it would be blank. She's nearly 18 months now and I found out I was 3 months pregnant as lockdown started with a spontaneous natural pregnancy. I felt far less anxious this time. I never had bloods done but you should ne able to request them from your doctor. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xx

Thank you 💕 I pray this little one sees it through to the end. I love this forum but it’s also a constant reminder that things can & do go wrong for us so I might have to take some time away to reduce my anxiety I think. Congratulations on your pregnancy too and all the best 💕.

Congratulations!! Its great to be in with a shot but as you say when you have previous losses behind you it's an extremely anxious time ...I'm nervous too. The clinic may do them for you, explain how anxious your are with your history...or would they let you pay for it? Your GP may help you out but mine has never been that helpful!! All the best.xxx

It’s a private clinic so I’d hope they will! But then just another thing to worry about 😂 thanks 💕

Congratulations! I would feel the exact same as you. There is nothing you can do so I'd say try and relax, do whatever you enjoy to keep calm and happy. You've done brilliantly! Today is a happy day 😊 xxx

Hiya dear

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉enjoy your pregnancy dear I know the that we ivfers feel fear each and every moment.. Inshallah everything will b fine just feel each moment of joy and enjoy it and b greatful to Almighty God.... 🤞🤞🙏🙏

Echo what the others say! I’m new to this forum and have to idea what all the acronyms are 😬 but many congrats. I had a FET to produce my now 7 year old and I remember feeling so much fear past 20 weeks even. The most helpful thing I learned was at a meditation retreat that taught me that all the effort I was using to push away the fear was holding my joy at arms length too. Letting it all in and breathing was the best way to feel the joy I so deserved but also helped me with coping with the fear.

I’m now trying again... four rounds of IVF later and just had my first FET. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Congratulations, I wish you enjoy this pregnancy 😍. Ivf is a tough journey every day there is something to worry about, I wish one could really use the energy we put into fear the opposite way.

I am 9weeks plus and all that crosses my mind is what could be happening to the baby now? To make matters worse I feel cramp the past two days.

As for the blood test , I think you can request your Gp to do that. I told my Gp with coronavirus it’s not advisable going into the hospital just for a blood test, my clinic advised to request my Gp to do that.

So my request was granted, there is no harm in trying. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy. Xx

Update: my HcG is 1893 which I was told is a really good level which has put my mind at rest for a very short period of time, but now I’m worried about it doubling tomorrow 😂 soooo frustrating wish I could just relax. Hopefully I’ll get the results Friday & I can try and relax before my scan on 6 October.

Congratulations on your BFP! I just found your post yesterday and so glad I did! I’m in the same boat, tested positive 10 days ago after FET (after failed fresh cycle last year and miscarriages before that) and my anxiety is horrible. We were the same, should be excited but I’m so terrified of miscarriage that it’s overwhelming me. I’m over analysing my nausea, my boob tenderness, I’m even anxious because I don’t think I feel tired enough! My nausea has settled the last couple of days and now I’m freaking out that it’s all over. My first scan isn’t until 12th October and I’m only 5+3 weeks... I just can’t see how I’m going to reach that date and still be pregnant. I can’t even say it out loud! 2 friends told me last week that they’re 12 weeks pregnant and I’m jealous they made it that far. Isn’t that awful? :(

Anyway, I just wanted to say your post and the replies from everyone have really helped me and at least I don’t feel like I’m going crazy on my own. Best of luck for your scan xx
