Just wanted to let everyone know that our baby girl arrived by emergency C section on 26/8/2020 weighing a healthy 7lb 12oz and has already gained weight to 8lb by the time she was 5 days old! Girl loves her food lol
We named her Caitlin Elizabeth Allison and she has made our dreams come true. Caitlin was the result of our only frozen embryo from our second IVF cycle. We were fortunate to have NHS funded IVF treatment but despite that we've decided that we will not have any more fertility treatment, the two cycles we had were difficult enough but it brought us our little girl in the end. We will try to give her a sibling in the future the good old fashioned way and if it happens it happens and if not we are content as a family of 3.
I wish everyone the best of luck on your journeys and really hope that your dreams come true xxx

O congratulations! That time has gone quick! I remember watching that program you were in.....really rooting for you! Enjoy motherhood and all the best, she’s gorgeous. Xxx
This is so wonderful to see! I am due in Nov with my one and only embryo. I’m very anxious about the baby arriving safe and sound. If you don’t mind the question, was wondering why your c section was an emergency? She’s perfect- thanks for sharing.
When I was pushing her out her head turned sideways and baby got stuck. Was taken to theatre to try and deliver her with forceps to turn her but didn't work so they had to do a C section. They term a C section as an emergency when it's not planned x
Congratulations! Caitlin is absolutely beautiful. I am very happy for you. I remember you from the programme and I am delighted to hear your happy news xx
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments and well wishes 🥰
I do like to check in every now and again to see how everyone is getting on so please do feel free to message if you have any questions or just need someone to chat to, this forum has been a great support to me while we were going through IVF and in the wait to finally get our BFP and if I can be of any help to anyone needing any support I'd like to help if I can xx
Huge congratulations! I think I remember we tested on the same day or a day apart. We had our baby boy Jack William Burnside on 27th August and my husband and I both said the exact same thing as you about a sibling.
Wishing you all the love in the world looking after you beautiful baby girl. Xx
