I was prepping the second injection of menopur. I'm on 6 vials per day in two injections. On the second one I managed to spill out of the needle about .3ml from the 1mil - with only one vial mixed in. In total I lost .1ml of the full injection as I carried on mixing the other two vials stupidly and used that slightly lighter dose. Not sure if that makes any sense. I can't get through to the after hours number at my clinic and now don't know what to do and whether I should do an extra vial to make it 7. Would that overdose? Is it better to do a little bit less than too much? I'm on day 7 of the menopur with just 2 follicles. Any help tonight would be amazing.

HELP! Is too much or too little menopur better?
If anyone has any advise would really appreciate it.
Hi lovely, since you lost such a tiny amount I would say you'll be better off not doing a second injection, and then let your clinic know tomorrow if you're still worried, they'll be able to put your mind at ease. Don't panic! x
Ok thank you. I thought I could also mix another one and just inject a third of it? But it's two hours since I did the injections now. So stressful. Can't sleep.
Definitely better with too little than too much as they will be monitoring how your stimulate over next few days and if u need another dose at the end they will tell u xxx
I would suggest not to do another injection. Too little is better. Too much is not. As there is a risk of OHSS. However, if you are concerned then let your doctor know. They will really clear your confusion out for you as well. Good luck to you. Sending baby dust your way.
Doctor replied to the email and said 'probably a good idea'. So I did a small amount - but probably a bit more than I lost. Now I'm panicking that I've done too much! Can't sleep. Feel so panicky and just want to relax and rest. Wish I hadn't done that bit extra, as I'm reading about OHSS now.
Thanks so much for your help. I regret doing the extra. Panicked all night and haven't slept. Will talk to the nurse later - doctors advise was so unspecific and not reassuring at all. X
