Cycles getting longer

Hi,

I'm currently awaiting investigations for infertility. I have recently started Bromocriptine for high prolactin levels. I have only taken for 3 weeks. My last few cycles have been getting longer (38, 39) and now at 43 days I am still waiting for my period. I have done 2 pregnancy tests which were negative. Does anyone else have experience of this? I'm guessing it could be due to stress or annovulation but haven't had a cycle this long before. I'm going to contact my GP on Monday but any similar experiences would be useful to know about.

Best wishes,

Zoe

Hi Zozoeee. Obviously bromocriptine is going to have an effect on your pituitary gland where lots of hormones are managed. It is just probably down to a slight imbalance temporarily. Try not to worry too much as your GP will talk you through it next week. Good luck! Diane

Hi, Thank you for your reply. It's good to know that it might just be due to the new tablets. Thanks for your help. Zoe
