Hello
My embryo transfer (donor egg) is scheduled for this afternoon. What should and shouldn’t I do afterwards and in the next few days? I have been reading a lot of conflicting information online. Thank you 😊
Hello

Haven't got any advice as it's my first DE transfer is tomorrow, but I wanted to wish you lots of baby dust! xxx
The official advice is simply to take it easy over the next few days, rest as much as possible and no strenuous exercise or heavy lifting etc. They advise against having hot baths or going swimming because there’s a risk of infection but otherwise that’s about it! The 2 week wait can be so tough when you’re focused on every little cramp & twinge so make sure you plan some nice things to look forward too as a good distraction. Good luck!!!
Do what relaxes you most and try to keep your mind off it (easy to say and not to do). Focus all your positive energies on the little embryo and try to visualise it snuggling into position. Maybe go for a nice walk / lunch afterwards.
Good luck xx
Hello Camillage, yes i always try to follow your excellent advice. I was toally stressed out yesterday and couldn’t sleep 😖 but am feeling much calmer today. The doctor just emailed me saying a very strong embryo is waiting for me 😍😍😍. She hasn’t told me the grading etc but I guess that’s good. I don’t want to get too hung up on the details. Please send me positive vibes xxxx
Yes, i was never told the quality of the embryos. Positivity coming your way in buckets xx
I was so happy to get your message just before I went in for my transfer. I could actually feel the positivity rushing through my body. 😆😊. Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I have one embryo in me and two in the freezer Yay. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
So exciting. Welcome to the world of PUPO! Now just do what you can to relax and focus all your energy and positivity into your little embryo snuggling in xx
This is the first time I am allowing myself to feel positive, I used to be scared of disappointment so I tended to tell myself it’s not going to work from the start! Thanks for being so lovely and kind! Xxxx
I didn’t eat or drink anything cold in my tww and I also had lots of pineapple core before my transfer. I don’t know if either of these made a difference, but I felt like I was doing something at least. During the transfer I just thought about happy things. Also, I didn’t lift a finger in my tww, I didn’t carry anything not even my bag (it’s usually full of rubbish and weighs a ton). I just relaxed, worked a little and tried to stay sane.
Wishing you lots of luck, try to relax!
i had acupuncture done just after my transfer. i did not have any warm baths or hot showers in the 2week wait. i ate pineapple cores for the first few days, warm soups, porridges, vegetables just tons of warm foods in the 2week wait. I wore warm socks on my feet during and after transfer. No heavy lifting and tons of chilling infront of the tv watch Netflix. i also ate pomegranates and fruits. I'm currently 33weeks pregnant and we were fortunate to have fallen pregnant on our first try of ivf but this was after 2 natural miscarriages and 1 etopic pregnancy. It took us years to fall pregnant on our own which was always a disappointment but our bean is almost going to be in our arms so im so thankful. i wish you all the best of luck today. just take it easy and relax and try not to stress and overthink.
Congratulations. Not long until your due date! 💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻👍🏻I have heard about wearing socks and I might just try that 😍. I will put my feet up today and tomorrow but I am flying back to the uk on Friday alone. Hope some kind people on the plane will help me put my suitcase up in the overhead locker! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx
Hope everything went ok and that you are taking it easy . Sending hugs of hope 😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌈💝💖💐
I did a transfer of a 5day embryo yesterday. First transfer last year 2019 which was BFP I did not change anything in my routine except for no excercise, hot baths/showers, heavy lift. Hope it wil work for all of us the DE treatement
Good luck with everything and hope your 2ww won’t be too unbearable. I’m 6dpdt now and no symptoms. No cramping no spotting no sore boobs, nothing. I am on 12 different types of supplements and drugs (all prescribed by the clinic), and my donor is 28 years old...so I am hoping I will get a BFP. However I dreamt about testing last night, two tests, two BfN. I wanted to do a third test but found out that all my tests had been stolen 😞. The worst nightmare I ever had. Keep me updated about your results xx
I had nightmares the day after transfer. It was horrible. I woke up all moody and crying when i should be happy; I acomplished all from my side regarding therapy and endometrium. I will try to be positive but the fear is stronger. My donor is 22 and I have only one left blasto. O am in a clinic in Ukraine
