BFN - what happens next?

Had OTD today 13dp5dt, it was BFN. It wasn’t a surprise as AF arrived in full swing last night.

Please can someone share what I should expect to happen next in terms of starting again? how long until I can go again? I was on the short protocol and I’ve got one FET. 🧡🧡

So sorry to hear this. It’s so hard when it’s a BFN. Clinics vary but you will probs be encouraged to have a ‘natural bleed’ next month and then go again after that. Sending lots of love xx

Thank you hifer. 🧡 It’s been a tough few days as i got used to the idea that it hadn’t worked. Today just confirmed it! I decided to call in sick today, gonna be nice to myself today 🧡🧡

Really sorry to hear about your failed cycle. This journey is such a tough one. I had the same in August - my 3rd transfer failed. I’ve just started my period and I’m preparing for a FET so it’s all happening quite quick which is a relief!! xx

So sorry to hear this Zucci , it’s so hard to get a Ben after getting this far. Pleased to see you have taken the day off, even though you’ve had a day or 2 there is something about the actual test day that almost takes away that last night of hope and that’s when it’s always hit me the most.so yes be kind to yourself, cry, have that glass of wine, chocolate , give yourself time to accept.

As for next steps - we were delayed due to COVID to starting out next transfer but I think had it. It been for the tour 1st failed cycle was feb, consult was March - we would have done our frozen transfer in April - think they like you to have a period in between but I guess clinics may vary. What I would say is I found the frozen transfer was easier in terms of no injections, they did long protocol for me - no idea why but I went with it. But most say better results as your body hasn’t had to go through the whole IVF cycle. Praying your next transfer will bring you joy honey xx

Hey Chel, thank you for your wishes. I spoke to the clinic this morning and as many of you have said they suggest having a natural bleed before starting again. 🧡🧡
