Hi all, know a few of us have posted on here about low AMH and low follicles but I've heard about a treatment at a clinic up north that are doing Tri IVF I think it's called, where you do 3 rounds in quick succession as this is supposed to improve egg quality and numbers? Anyone tried or heard of this?
Or done freeze all rounds for natural ivf to collect more eggs before start any transfers? Any evidence this can improve success for slightly older ladies with low follicle count?
Thanks 😊

Hi, I think Create fertility specialise in natural IVF for older women. This relies on fewer drugs and produces fewer eggs. There is a branch in Sheffield. The website indicates there is a Webinar every Tues at 6pm. I'm also looking for an option to do a 3 round freeze all before beginning transfers - to preserve the quality of my eggs as now 41 and nervous about covid shutting things down again. Not found anything other than the natural cycles, which I don't think would be a good option for me as produce enough follicles and wouldn't want to produce less embryos. My problem is at implementation stage. From what I've found it seems to be relatively more expensive to freeze without transfers. The policy seems to be to use frozen before doing extra cycles unless on egg preservation route. Please keep me posted on anything you find out x
Thanks for your reply Orangeflowers. Helpful to know who specialises in what and will definitely have a look at their website.
I'd not thought about clinic closing again due to Covid so think that sounds sensible to get the eggs while you can and if you have the follicles then a stimmed route sounds better for you.
The clinic I'd heard about was in Chester but I'm at a more southern branch so will be asking when go for my review in September but couldn't find out anything about it online. Will let you know if hear any more. Take care xx
I’ve just had a read of your profile and so sorry to hear re your cancelled round and
then your BFN it’s so tough!!!
I’m afraid I can’t give any advice but defo following with interest. Currently in my 2ww but pretty sure it ended today!! As bleeding started today at 8 days exactly the same as last time which ended in a BFN 😔
We would need to start over again as this was our only frozen embryo
1st cycle like you was in Jan , - we got 4 eggs only 6 follicles , only 3 mature enough to fertilize and 2 made it to 5day blastocyst one a grade 5 one a grade 3 . So whilst odds were low we were pleased with at least getting 2 - but here we are now thinking we will need to start over . I hadn’t heard of tri IVF at all and good to know re the clinic in Sheffield - I’m too 41 (on weds) my test day was the day after!! But think it’s fair to say I am now not expecting anything Other then a bfn.
Wishing you so much luck as you start your next cycle - I will be googling clinics offering this now 😊
Hi purple 276,I am 35 and have a low amh and low follicle count (3 and 4). I’ve been advised to try this method by my consultant at ucl, london and am just about to move from down regulation into stimulation for the first cycle . It was sold to me as the best option since I’ve been told I’m extremely unlikely to respond to medication and then if I do there will be very few eggs so pooling together 3 cycles makes sense . Did you go for this in the end ? If so how are you getting on ? I’m interested to hear of other women’s experiences as I’m feeling really overwhelmed right now facing 6 months of drugs before the implantation and seeing if it is successful .... seems more anxiety inducing than a single cycle at a time to me . Anyway good luck !
My clinic said it was only the location in Chester that was doing these at the moment so we just had to do another fresh round with an increased trigger so sadly didn't have the option.
How are you getting on?
My last cycle I did stims for an extra couple of days before trigger and in the end had 16 follicles! 😀 which was amazing BUT only got 4 eggs as many of them were little (was still thrilled with this though!). If I'd done back to back stims some of those little ones would probably have made it to mature so I can see why that type of cycle could help.
Banking the eggs while you can seems sensible and you never know how you'll respond as different drugs and protocols can make a huge difference so wishing you lots of luck xx
Hi Purple, I am hanging in there thanks 🙏 just had the second scan at 7 days into stimulation and I have 3 follicles .... which is the minimum they will accept. Just have to cross everything that these continue to grow as they said if not they are cancelling the cycle on Thursday and they won’t be going ahead with another cycle after . I don’t want to think about that , just trying to focus on the present . It could have been worse though - I could have just had one or two so I’m trying to focus on positives ! I wonder if they will extend my stims for a few days as well ? Sounded like this worked for you ! Take care and best of luck x
