Hi, I'm naturally slim, but in an effort to give myself the best chance, I did a Mediterranean diet before my 2nd FET which unfortunately failed again. I inadvertently lost weight. BMI is currently at 20.8 which is in the healthy range, but does it help to be carrying a bit more fat do you think?

Hi my acupuncturist told me losing weight drastically is not good for your hormones and advised against diets right before a cycle. I had my success when I was at my most overweight x
My 3rd transfer was a success after gaining weight in lockdown 🙈 I usually struggle with my lining and it wasn’t such an issue this time and I wondered if it was the weight gain.
It wasn’t a huge amount and I’m still in the healthy BMI range but I’d say gaining a few pound wouldn’t hurt ☺️ good luck xx
My doctor says if your weight is in the healthy range there's no need to worry but it's better to avoid diets anyway xx
Did your doctor say anything about a person who is overweight? Not a drastic loss, but just like one stone or half a stone?
I am from Romania. The programs funded by the government and city request for a bmi between 20-30, which starts higher than the lower healthy bmi. I could not find online reasons why they chose this range and only read that having a high bmi can create difficulties.
I have a bmi of 18 (sometimes lower), without any diet, so I did not qualify (would have been impossible to gain more than 5 kg and I also had an amh level lower that the one requested).
I self funded, got lucky 1st cycle, 1st transfer, 1st baby I also did not gain much during pregnancy.
Good luck! Xx
