Are you prepared to quarantine on return ? Because I think that is what you have to do now if visiting anywhere in Spain ?

Unless it changes by September

Yes seems like I don’t really have a choice-I will have to go into quarantine after the visit...I just hope they don’t close the borders totally..

I hope something improves before then x

In a way, a quarantine might be good for a 2ww? An excuse not to rush around and work lots (Or maybe that's just my mad normal life rhythm!) Good luck x

Too true! It might just force you to slow down.... or it might increase frustration... especially as there will be no glass of wine waiting at the end of the day.😱 lol... we will have to wait and see hey.. good luck in your journey as well x

I’m due to go to Malaga in October for our 3rd cycle, I’m also hoping that the borders remain open and flights don’t get cancelled. 🤞 for both of us xxx

I’m booked to fly out to Alicante on the 16th Aug with a transfer late Aug, early Sept (depending on the dreaded womb lining....or the concern at the moment, whether Aunt Flo will actually make an appearance!).

Spain were allowing individuals having “medical treatment” into Spain during lockdown and I know clinics were writing letters which allowed people through the border. I’d imagine our clinics would start following that process again if needs be. Fertility treatment is big business in Spain. I’d imagine they’d need us in having treatment to support the economy.

Good luck with your FET xx

Good luck with AF and womb lining.. so many steps to get right before actually making it to the actual transfer..

I’ve been on 2 Prostap 11.25 injections... one from March and another from June so I don’t think I will be seeing AF before the transfer.. or will I- oh I don’t know but.. FET is scheduled for around the 10th September so we will see.

I am so glad you told me about the letters. My clinic closed down for a month or so during the height of the pandemic in Spain but they reopened before the border opened. At least I know there is another possible option if borders should close. Good luck with the lining and the FET.. And be good to yourself🤞🏽🤞🏽

My cycle has been cancelled today 😔. I was supposed to fly to Cyprus in August. Most airlines are cancelling flights to Cyprus because Uk has not gone to category A.

Oh no! What a crappy thing to happen now- I am so sorry.

I guess it is wait and see when you can continue? As if we all need any more uncertainties

I’m hoping to go in February 2021 as hubby will be in half term. I work in nhs and it’s so hard to get unplanned annual leave. I’m feeling so down. Another 6 mths wait for me.

I hear you.. and I am so sorry Sez that you have to go through this..

But indulge yourself a bit today and be nice to yourself... these six months will be over in a wink of an eye...you’ll see. Then you will be back on that horse. Hopefully the world will be in a better place in February and things will have calmed down.

My last FET was in February and then Covid happened... but time has gone by so quickly and there has been so many things I couldn’t do/concentrate on because my life has been IVF for the last 3 years so that is what I have been doing and enjoying... there is one more thing I want to do... I want to enjoy some time in a jacuzzi... aaah how lovely that will be😃

Do something nice tonight -sending you loads of hugs

I came back from my transfer in Spain the day the new quarantine measures were announced - that's the only thing that's gone right for me during my whole sorry 3 years in the game! I'm also keeping a close eye on the situation in case I'll be going back to try again. My clinic is in Barcelona, and they were offering letters to help at the borders too. The measures seem a lot more stringent in Spain than here, so I wasn't worried I was going to come back with something - more worried about taking it the other way! Hopefully the situation will have changed in good time for your visit. xx

I am in Alicante right now 😁 dying of too much 🥵 ☀️ but taking enough vitamin D to last a year 🤣

On our arrival day to Spain, UK decided to introduce again self-quarantine. To be honest I am on self-quarantine since 9th of July so another 2 weeks won’t matter now 😂. At work the owner of the company warned us to not go abroad as situation can change any time and they are against working from home 🙄 but who cares?!?!

More likely we will be back in September for our FET if everything goes well. Let’s hope for the best otherwise I am ready to walk from UK to Spain just to have my transfer done 😂🤪

Ha ha ha I hear you!

Any issues with accommodation, Airbnb etc? And are the bars, restaurants and beaches open? And your clinic seems to operate as normal?

I love Alicante and I know what you mean about walking. We are wfh till January at least so extra quarantine wont make a difference to me... i’ve Spent so much time in Alicante over these years.. wondering if it will all feel weird now

Oh yes, Airbnb is as per usual, likewise bars and restaurants with few exceptions social distancing and wearing masks at all time (at 35C is suffocating) 🥴 but for our goal 👶 🍼 we are ready for everything. At the clinic nothing changed- only one extra test COVID needs to be done on arrival 🙄

Great to hear! Our FET is scheduled for September as well.

A quick visit to our favourite tapas bar ..then down to business and serious grown up stuff ... I cannot even think how wearing a mask in this weather will be... but as you say-we do what we must do to try to get to where we are going

Wondering whether we are at the same clinic.. but I am glad there are no great issues on that side-thank you so much for the info.. really helpful.

Good luck over there and strongs! X
