3 month quarantine

Hi, another question. My clinic have now advised i cannot have a fresh transfer only a frozen one. I have had frozen in the past but now they are saying i have to have the embryos in quarantine for 3 month before any transfer. Never had this before. Anyone else experienced this?

Are you using any donor gametes? If so it’s to prevent transmitted infections like hepatitis and HIV. Quarantine allows rescreening of the donor as some recently acquired infections are hard to detect xx

is this same sex reciprocal IVF by any chance? In May/June the rules changed to include the 3 month quarantine of the embryo. Reciprocal was/perhaps still is our next step and we were planning. A fresh transfer until someone told me about this!! We are in Scotland not sure if it’s UK wide and if it’s a legal consents thing or an infection thing I couldn’t find much on it but planned to ask at next consultation xx
