🐸 Day 1 update : 3 eggs fertilised normally

So after a very upsetting egg retrieval 😖😢 from many follicles yesterday we were down to :

3 eggs .

One of which is an abnormal shape and was difficult to inject with sperm. 😤😳

📞 just off the phone to the labs. 🤪😫🤯🥴🤮😰🤯😱😶

All 3 have fertilised normally . 💁🏼‍♀️🥴🤪

The odd shape one is still an odd shape but looks normally fertilised .💁🏼‍♀️

3 🥚 🥚 🥚 = 3 chances..... right?

Now I’m away to ......climb back on the rollercoaster 🎢 until Saturday comes with the day 3 update. 🥳🤮🤠

These days are defo the most difficult on the journey I find ,

A sweet honest friend text me last night to say she didn’t understand everything that my body was being put through but she understands why I’m doing it. This level of getting it lifted my heart and made me realise I can’t be cross at all of the family and best friends crap support because ..... unlike you guys.... they don’t get it. But they get the WHY. Nice wee side thought to help anyone finding this side of things tough 💐

I had 2 eggs collected on a Monday.

Had the call Tues both had fertilised normally, huge relief. I’m having a 3 day transfer today 😬. My clinic will only take to day 5 if you have more than two.

I have everything 🤞🏻 for you. Sending lots of baby dust xx

That is great news RhinoCat! 💫 Try to plan something for tomorrow that will keep your mind busy! The waiting really is the worst 🙈. So good you have people you can talk to about it.

I only have a choice of 2 clinics in my city. One is still not taking self-funded (they are focusing on catching up from COVID) and the other one (private- not yet properly open) said the earliest cycle is likely to be Oct (and that is with no waiting list). The wait continues! It feels like Scotland is behind England. Looks like ‘au naturale’ is the only way to try for now 🙄😂 !

Defo need a wee day trip out somewhere tomo . Today feels ok but that’s because I had a phone call 🙄

Well I’m in Northern Ireland and the nhs clinic hasn’t even opened yet 🤬🤯 to catch up never mind get near the people like us who were at the top of the list 😭😭😭😭😭and our private clinic have 200

People waiting in the wings to start so it feels like our next cycle could be next year at this rate if this current cycles is a flop. Disaster 💁🏼‍♀️

Fantastic news! I hope all.goes well and they all get to day 5. We only got 4 retrieved and only one fertilised normally, but that little fighter grew and grew and became a grade 5ab hatching blasto. The good old, 'it only takes one's cliche 🥰

Congrats that is fantastic news. All fingers crossed for Saturday! I’m so lucky that my family are so supportive and know exactly what/what not to say. My best friend on the other hand has absolutely no idea. The amount of times she’s said “it will happen when it’s mean to happen” I could explode!
