IVF Packages

Hi ladies,

I’m looking at options before I decide to go forward with another cycle. My follow up appointment isn’t till 3rd Aug so I’d like to be prepared beforehand. I have looked at some of the IVF packages such as the IVF multiple cycle..2-3 rounds for a fixed price. I’m just wondering if this is it worth it rather than buying just one round. Advice needed please

Hi Natty I can't tell you about results because I'm in my 2 week wait after my first transfer but our very good consultant recommended the access fertility 2 cycle package. You get to use any blastocyst of embryos you make per cycle top. So say for a fixed price if you were lucky enough to make 3 embryos on your first cycle and 2 embryos on your second cycle, you would essentially be getting 5 embryo transfers for that fixed price. This is all dependent on whether your consultant would think you'd be suitable for that but it's a sensible option as first time success isn't guaranteed. Each cycle is successful around 30:% of the time (very generalised statistic).

Hope that helps xx

Honestly you never know how many rounds it will take so it’s a gamble! Me and my friend had similar profiles, same age, almost identical AMH and male factor issues and it worked first time for her whereas it’s taken me four rounds and two clinics to get there.

Is this your first cycle?x

Hi Kibo..I’ve had one NHS cycle which failed and looking at starting my second one. I’m using a sperm donor so I’ll be funding myself. My age doesn’t help as I’m nearly 40..x

We used the Access fertility 2 cycle package (although sadly weren’t successful) but overall we were happy with the service - happy to answer any Q’s if you want to PM me xx

Hi Natty

I weighed this up a lot when having IVF at a similar age to you. It's difficult as you really don't know how many you may need so it's a real gamble. In the end I went with Access Fertility 2 cycle package. They include a lot of stuff, like glue and the embryo camera thing (can't remember it's proper name!). Also if you are lucky enough to get frozen embies the cost covers this also on both cycles.

Hi CAS2, thanks for replying. I will look into that package. X

Hi Natty I’m following with interest as we will now be going private after our 1 nhs round, I’ve been looking as assured and assess but I think the access one looks good and as the cost of a transfer around 1,500 I think without meds think this makes sense.

Wishing you the best of luck on the next part of your journey xx

Hi we did access fertility 3 cycle package with 75% refund , at £9,000 as when we bought before I was 35.. It goes up drastically after that. We have unlimited frozen transfers, scans and consultations etc included. We are currently on the 2ww of our 2nd fresh cycle xx
