ABC IVF clinic? šŸ¤”

Hey ladies! So I know we canā€™t post in general post about clinics etc BUT please could some one PM and give me information on this clinic as I have a consultation booked with them in the next couple of weeks. So excited and nervous!

Is there a catch to why there so much cheaper then any other fertility clinic? I know it says that you have to be a certain age, Amh and bmi which Iā€™m eligible in that sense. Just looking for some feedback tbh as my last cycle was funded so I have no idea with going private and I did some searching and saw there nearly half the price!

Thank you in advance ā¤ļø Xxx

A friend of mine used them and it worked first go her sons now 5 months old.

As far as I know they are just cheaper because the creteria is very strict but as long as you fit the creteria your fine.

I didnā€™t use them personally so canā€™t comment other than what I was told by her or read.

Good luck

There are quite a few posts already about the pricing for ABC if you search back through but the main reason the cost is lower is that the clinic is nurse led rather than consultant led x

Thank you! Iā€™ve seen a few but they canā€™t comment on the post because of rules so I thought Iā€™d post so people can PM me. I know the first time I didnā€™t react to the drugs very well so my second round I had to go on a higher dose and what Iā€™ve read I think people are saying itā€™s more of a milder ivf so I donā€™t think I will fit the criteria šŸ˜”.

I guess Iā€™ll find out at my consultation! So bloody nervous. In a way I donā€™t want to go there and waist my time whenā€™s I could just book at another clinic and it not matter. Stressful isnā€™t it this whole process but itā€™s so worth it at the end. Thank you xxx

No problem! I completely understand what you mean. We moved clinics after three failed rounds and felt like we werenā€™t getting anywhere. Itā€™s really difficult picking a new clinic but youā€™ll know when you find the right one, listen to your gut. Best decision we ever made xx

Hi Kimross1, I had a consultation at ABC and was accepted and booked my first cycle, but then they realised I would need to have consultant-lead care and a clinic that is open 7 days a week so they referred me over to their sister clinic. ABC are only open on weekdays and are entirely nurse led (all very lovely šŸ˜Š), but this is only suitable for generic ā€˜cookie-cutter cyclesā€™ based on a strict criteria . Its worth noting that they only stimulate at maximum 150 iu (Part of their rationale for why I couldnā€™t use them even though I met the strict criteria). I was transferred to their sister clinic which is more expensive but amazing and much more tailored to your own unique case x

Hi nocoma22, sorry for the late response and thanks for all the info hunn, i quickly had a read other day but not had time to get back to anyone because my Holliday was bloody cancelled so was on hold for 3 hours 2x days! Wow they sound like a good clinic from what people have said but then again I donā€™t want to go there and like your experience have to then be transferred to there sister clinic and it be delayed in some way as I need to be put on more than 150iu too! .. me and husband have decided to go abroad to Prague.. itā€™s looking like weā€™d spend the same but wel treat it as a Holliday too in the same way and just relax as much as possible! Are you far into your cycle now? Wishing you the best of luck xxx

If your looking for cheaper affordable ivf then consider abroad thatā€™s what we did and it worked out well for us and logistically wasnā€™t that difficult once we knew what we were doing.

It depends if abroad is a possibility for you.

Hey hunn! Me and my partner have hard a long think about what to do as Iā€™ve had mixed info about abc. Weā€™ve decided to go Prague! Already sent all my medical questionnaire back to them just got to forward my past records which Iā€™m doing later and then just got to wait for a response again and hopefully get started as soon as Iā€™m back from my Holliday! So excited.. in a way because we have to be there for 10 days itā€™ll be like a little Holliday too so be much more relaxed! Did you have the option to transfer 1 or 2 whilst abroad as well? I donā€™t have a clue what to do in that sense xxx

Yes we did we went to Greece and they allowed it but they do it on a case to case basis As some situations they donā€™t allow it - we put two back in and got twins so double the chance and double the babies hehe

Oh wow!! Thatā€™s great! Congratulations.. Iā€™m nervous if I put back two because I donā€™t really want twins just because the pregnancy would be high risk and im scarred of miscarriage I donā€™t think I could cope with that at all or loosing one of them ect but then I donā€™t want to put one back and then it not work! Itā€™s such a hard decision isnā€™t it?! How far along are you now? I hope youā€™re pregnancy is smooth sailing xxx

Thank you and I completely understand for me it was a case of having as many as I could to try and hope for the best.

My twins are already born their now 15m old (2 boys)

My pregnancy was good and I was classed as high risk as well being overweight but my pregnancy went swimmingly and babies were born healthy at 37+2 (both 5lb 13oz)
