Hi. I’m looking to hear some honest reviews of Cambridge IVF Clinic. Has anyone used them before? I’m having no trouble finding reviews for Bourn Hall but they are quite a bit more expensive than Cambridge IVF so I’m not sure we could afford to go there. Thanks in advance xx
Cambridge IVF Clinic: Hi. I’m looking... - Fertility Network UK
Cambridge IVF Clinic
We had a wonderful experience with Cambridge IVF. In fact, we chose them over Bourn because they made us feel totally supported and a priority at every step of the way. Their embryology team is outstanding and their success rates with the embryoscope technology are really impressive. I also appreciated that we didn’t have to wait at any stage. Our timing was dependent on my body and not their schedule. I highly recommend Cambridge IVF! Please feel free to DM if you’d like to talk further. Xx
Hi,
can you please provide me with the reviews of Cambridge IVF?
I'm thinking of going for it?
TIA
Hi. We've just been through our second round with Cambridge IVF and I would definitely recommend them. They've been brilliant with us and the staff are all lovely. We had one mishap where we couldn't get hold of the head embryologist but when he found out what had happened, he went above and beyond to rectify the situation and spoke to reception about the mistake that had happened. I'm really happy we went with them. We paid for the multi cycle deal (3 cycles) and it's way better value for money than Bourn. We paid £9K for three round including all meds etc. The only extras we paid were £250 for embryoscope on each cycle, and £500 for ICSI on the first cycle. Do message me if you have any other questions! xx
Thank you so much for your reply. What was the mishap if you don’t mind sharing ? And about their availability?
Their availability was good, we've never had to wait for treatment. The mishap was the receptionist telling us that the head embryologist was on holiday and that no one else could help. So by the time he got back, all of the donors on our list had gone out of stock. When he got back, he phoned me straight away when he saw my email and couldn't apologise enough as his colleague could have helped me. He said he was going to talk to the head of reception and ensure they knew this information and didn't make the same mistake again. Then he spoke to our sperm bank and coordinated a lot of it for us which was really helpful. It was all ok in the end as we found another donor at that bank and I'm now 5w6d from that round. xx
We ended up going to Bourn in the end, just because we figured if we're spending the money ourselves (Stupid cambridgeshire CCG deciding to victimise people in our area as apparently we're all supposed to be rich... not!!!!), it just came down to what are their results, as plain as that.
We did go to a Cambridge IVF open evening, and they were all so friendly- also a big plus is that because they are so closely linked to Addenbrookes from where they used to be an NHS clinic, you know your money is going back into the system which is a nice feeling. As I said though, we just went with Bourn hall because their results were better for ICSI (we were extremely lucky as well, in that I am now 25 weeks pregnant from our first cycle).
I think tbh though, a lot of the clinics around our local area are some of the most successful in the country, so you're in good hands
If you haven't already and you want an independent view, if you check the HFEA website I think they have a section there on how individual clinics are rated- we found this really useful when we were making our decision on where to go.
Good luck! xxxxx
