Does anyone know typical waiting time for first appointment from gp sending referral In Staffordshire area ?

We have had our referral sent but gp can no tell us a time scale. We’ve fought for 3-4 years for this to be sent

Hi Holliee. You will have to get in touch with the clinic you've been referred to in Staffordshire. If you don't know who that is yet, then you could get the information from your CCG (GP practice can tell you who that is. Once you know, just make sure you tell them that you are willing to accept a cancellation if one happens. Good luck! Diane

I’m West Midlands and it was around 12 months from date of referral to going through all the tests to being ready to start but there are massive back logs at the moment due to covid so I’d expect this to be even longer for the foreseeable future

You may be able to speed things up by asking what private clinics will accept your NHS funding? Most of those have shorter wait times compared to NHS clinics
