MMC in April still getting positive HPT 😫

UPDATE! It’s finally negative!! (Pic attached)

Back on April 28th at my 12 week scan it was confirmed I had a mmc (sac only- blighted ovum) they said at the time I would start to bleed and pass it. I did bleed, however on follow up scan on 11th May the sac was still there. I had the pessaries to help pass it and was told to take hpt 2 weeks later.

After weekly pregnancy tests still being positive I had a follow up scan last Thursday (18th June) where they said I had a thick lining and lots of follicles however some fluid left over which was why my tests are still positive 🤦‍♀️

So another two week wait to see if my period flushes away the excess fluid and I get my BFN! Still no sign of period n my test this week is still positive 😭

Iv never had a Mc before and this is really stressing me out now!! Never in my years of trying to conceive did I pray for a BFN!!

Anybody had this happen to them?

Sorry your loss. It must be horrible to be in this position....so difficult after having gone through the miscarriage. I think you should speak to Early pregnancy again. They may have to intervene if this isnt resolving itself. Did they do any bloods last time you were in to see if your levels were lowering?xx

Thanks for your reply, no they haven’t done any bloods.

It was a natural pregnancy so through nhs n they don’t seem to bother with bloods x

They may have to intervene surgically so if your test is still not back to normal this week then definitley give them a ring and ask for them to check your bloods. Hugs, not a nice situation to be in!xxx

Yes I will definitely be ringing if still positive on Thursday. I’m starting to worry now that it’s affecting my body internally, it’s been 8 weeks since I found out and 6 weeks since I took the pessaries.

I just want it to be over so we can move forward and start trying again. X

So sorry to hear you're going through this horrible time. I have had a miscarriage and when this happened to me, I had some pregnancy tissue that had remained. I had to have a procedure to get this removed by the doctor as my body didn't flush it out on its own due to the shape of my uterus. i hope that they can resolve this for you. x

Thank you for your reply, sorry you’ve been in this horrible situation. When they scanned they could just see excess fluid but who knows, there’s gotta be something there , to still be positive. I’m hoping wen I test it’l be negative but I’m not hopeful really. X

Make sure you keep pushing with the unit if it’s still positive as they need to help you manage the reason why this may be. Good luck x

Thanks hun I will definitely ask for something to be done as it’s gone on long enough now. I’m guna test tomorrow so will keep u posted. Xx
