I was just wondering how the process works with Access Fertility please?
If accepted, do you pay them the whole amount at the start or is it like a loan where you pay monthly payments?
Would you recommend them?
Thanks!

Hi there,
These came up recently so I thought I would share my response send to another person for the similar question. For me, the payment was a one off fixed up front cost. Whilst I’m not at the refund stage and can’t comment on that side everything else with access has been excellent so far.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Hi there. To be accepted for any of the refund packages you have had to have a medical review. We didnt get accepted so went with the 2 cycle package 0 refund. We then paid the lump sum up front to them. Then we paid the drugs and any additions to the clinic direct xx
I had a 3 cycle 50% refund package..after 2 complete cycles I had been through too much and opted to stop. They were always very sensitive on the phone. From the date I withdrew I had a form to sign within 48 hours then my cheque came 30 days later. They took £150 as an admin fee because I only completed 2 cycles. Hopefully yours won’t come to that but I have had no problems with them x
Thank you for all the info!
We've just registered with a clinic and having the fertility tests done at the moment (they call them MOT lol) so will get results mid June and will go from there.
We had 2 failed ICSI attempts on the NHS back in 2011 so we're looking at using a sperm donor.
How did you know which option of package to go for or if accepted, do they say which ones they offer based on individual circumstances?
I would recommend them so far. They are very responsive, and understanding, and easy to deal with. They need all your medical details (we were already with a clinic, so the clinic sent them all our tests etc. over) and Access Fertility make a decision based on everything they know about you. We paid up front and it had to be a bank transfer when we did it (end of last year). They didn't accept cards to save on costs. Don't know if this is still the case. Drugs are extra. xxx
We are on a 3 cycle 70% refund. Had to have a medical review by access fertility and they requested info from the clinic. They asked us which package we would like to go for and accessed us on that. I guess if your not approved I think they could re-assess for different packages.. We paid by bank transfer, and was able to start on next cycle. Meds are extra, scans, bloods and consultations are included too. Assessment is usually done in a couple of days and is fairly straight forward.
Thank you for all the info, it's been really helpful. I think we're going to try and get one of the refund options for 3 cycles. The unlimited option sounds great but unaffordable esp with medication costs for each go
