Hi!!!! I'm currently on this scheme. We've gone for the one that includes ICSI, and it includes scans, appointments etc. but just not drugs. Also 100% refund if I don't get pregnant in these two years. It does mean you're tied to a clinic, though, so you have to be sure you're happy with your clinic! Let me know any specific questions! x

We think we will need icsi aswell, does it include the first consultation aswell? Because I have got a appointment with a clinic that’s not doing the scheme as I have only found out about the schemes and packages you can have, there is a clinic that is 20 minutes away from me that works with access fertility. What would you do? Would you cancel and go with the access fertility clinic ? Or if it doesn’t include it in the package would it matter if I go to another clinic? Sorry for so many questions I just haven’t got any family/ friends that can help me because they haven’t been through the process xxx

I don't think it included the initial consultation, although I don't know if that's just my clinic being difficult. I initially pursued two routes of IVF and the clinic we are with currently under Access Fertility (an hour and a half away!) we are with because we prefer over our local clinic (that also does Access Fertility). It's hard to say what the right path is as a lot of it seems down to luck, but the money-side of things is really important. We have done 4 rounds now and I didn't think we'd be going on this long.... but need the finances to keep going. If this Access Fertility thing doesn't work out, then I will be looking at abc ivf next. Going to a more expensive clinic, unfortunately doesn't guarantee a pregnancy. I guess it's like choosing a uni or a house or... any other massive thing. There's no right answer, but it's where you feel most comfortable and happy with. Not sure if that's helpful but please feel free to ask any more questions. x

We used the 2 fresh cycles 50% refund package. In that we get two fresh cycles and unlimited frozen cycles in between. We also got add ons included. We did however have to pay for blood tests and consultation separately. Also our drugs didn’t come as part of the package they are a separate charge xx

Hi,

We used Access fertility but we wasn’t excepted into the unlimited package. It isn’t automatic you have to apply for it when you have had your first tests and appointment with the clinic you choose. We were put forward by our clinic as good candidates unknown infertility and both of us are early 30s but for the unlimited still they said no they wasn’t happy with some of our results didn’t say which ones criteria isn’t always so clear.

We went for the two paid cycles As this did get us a significant discount with the clinic.

As ladies have said below you still need to pay for your drugs which can be very expensive to.

If you do choose a clinic please also consider how busy they are. In two years we managed to do two fresh rounds with one frozen in between.

Ivf is very demanding on the body and your mental health also I don’t think I could of taken much more in two years.

Lucky that our second fresh round worked and I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with 3 embryos in storage.

Every situation is different but I would see what the clinic also says and check wait times. I’m guessing with the current crisis they won’t be able to see as many patients as they were before.

Good luck on your journey and get as much support as you can xx
