So today I’m on cycle day 40! This has never happened to me, the very longest cycle I’ve had is 38 days. I’ve taken 3 pregnancy tests and they’re all negative. So I’m not pregnant. It’s so frustrating as I just want to start a new cycle. I’m pretty sure I didn’t ovulate this cycle. I didn’t see peak fertility so stopped testing on cd 22 and just bd every other day throughout my cycle anyway.
I spoke to my gp last week as it’s been over a year of ttc since our loss, she’s happy for us to have bloods and sperm analysis done but that won’t be for at least a month because of covid. I’ve never been diagnosed with pcos and I don’t think I have any symptoms.
Dr google is making me crazy thinking I have under active thyroid and endometriosis.
Sorry to have a long post but I’m fed up, this long cycle is making me lose hope of ever seeing a BFP again.

Hey lovely, just wondering if you’ve been checked for PCOS? Quite a common culprit of irregular periods. Could just be one off cycle where you didn’t ovulate though, as this happens even when no issues are present I think xx
Have you been ill at all this month? The one time I had a really long cycle when I was TTC naturally, I had been ill around the time I was due to ovulate and turns out your body can stop/delay you ovulating until it’s a safe environment again. Who knew! My normal 25 day cycle was 40 days that month xx
Sorry to hear this its so frustrating isnt it!
I don't think I have ovulated either this cycle, which is unusual for me as I normally do like clockwork on day 14 and I am now on day 19 and never got peak and now run out of opk's.
I did read somewhere that lockdown has had a massive impact on peoples cycles and a lot of peoples are going haywire! I dont know why this would happen or how it would happen? Maybe stress/disruption of normal routine.. but it could possibly be that maybe
Yeah I am sure the change in routine and being in lockdown has messed with my last cycle. I normally have a period between day 25 and day 31 and never been later. Last month it was day 33 but for the first time I though could it be my turn and then the pains kicked in that night. I feel because my routine has gone out the window it has different effects on the body
fandf2020 I hope you know one way or the other soon as the waiting around is the worst. I will keep my fingers crossed xx
Hi, the same is currently happening to me to some extend: did not ovulate according to ovulation tests and waiting for periods pass the date. I also took urine tests that were negative. If there is no blood in 4 days, I will do a pregnancy blood test because you never know. You can do those privately at home via finger pricks.
Thank you all for your comments ladies. AF arrived this afternoon, am gutted but at the same time relieved as she’s here so I can get ready for the next cycle.
I was doing well until I ran into my sister in law who is 20 weeks pregnant 🤦♀️😭. I came home and my husband said how proud he was of me that I actually stood there and chatted to her. Funny as I thought how hard it was but I did it, I didn’t run away which I had imagined I would do.
My friend was telling me her cycle is all messed up too so it probably is the stress of lockdown I guess.
Thank you all for replying, I really love this page, I always feel 10x better knowing I’m not alone. 😘😘
