Anyone had contact from their Spanish clinic?

Hi there; I hope you're all keeping well. I've not been on in a while, but just wondered whether anyone using a Spanish clinic has had any indication of whether they know how things might start moving again? I've not heard anything from mine, but they are in Barcelona and I know more restrictions are still in place there. I've not contacted them as I don't want to be a bother.

Thanks in advance for any insight anyone can share. Xx

Hi Hun

I am with a clinic in Spain, not in Barcelona but in another city that is not affected.

My clinic said to contact them again towards end of May but not hopeful yet that I will get good news. So far Spain apparently will introduce 2 week quarantining for all arrivals and if UK then also introduces 2 week quarantining for all arrivals 😳I am not sure what my work will think about this ... was thinking about even taking a career break .... but first need to get confirmation from the clinic that we can have the transfer and that flights are back on ....

The pausing and waiting has been hard .... trying to stay positive .... trying to get my body ready and waiting 🙈

Hope you get some good news soon..... let's cross fingers x

Thanks very much for your reply Monsoon_rain . I hadn't even thought ahead enough to consider the UK quarantine on the way back! As if all of this isn't hard enough for us - I'm allowing myself a little self-indulgent moaning there.

I've since been in contact with my clinic and they are looking into some kind of letter or certificate that would allow patients to avoid the full quarantine. They've also advised that Barcelona is subject to the restrictions for longer, so I think I'd be looking at late June before I know more.

Yes, let's keep our fingers crossed!! Xxx

I posted here recently the same question as you 😁

I spoke again with my clinic in Spain this weekend, they are saying you can travel (medical purposes) but you need to stay there for 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks you can go to the clinic for treatment. They will provide a letter of authorisation so you could use it if necessary.

Also you will be able to go for grocery shopping and pharmacy but no walking or other things.

Hi Ranchu90 . Many thanks for your reply. Do you mind me asking which city your clinic is in? Staying in Spain for 2 weeks makes me feel v nervous. We've not told anyone we are having treatment and it will be hard to explain a 2 week trip there. Plus we've got a dog that would need a boarder. I'm starting to think it might end up being easier for me to go alone for the transfer, although that would be even more depressing!

Are you starting to make plans for when flights are available then?

Sending you luck! Xx

We are having treatment in Alicante. We are on the same boat- no one knows that we are struggling with infertility 🤯. Yes, we are making plans now on how to get there. We are planing to go by car, it will take one day to arrive but we are ready for that. We checked the flights few days ago and the cheapest was 500£ therefore worth to go by car.

I would like to start down reg next month, so in July to have egg collection. I cannot stay and waist my time, we will take the risk...

stay well, stay safe ❤️
