I had a telephone appointment with my GP on the 1st April to apply for funding with the NHS for IVF. I was just wandering how long everyone else waited to find out whether they can be funded or not?
Many thanks

The actual referral didnt take so long and the clinic contacted me within the 8 weeks that was suggested. But getting the appointment in and then alll the tests started again so by the time we had our actual egg retrieval i was a year further. BUT thats because we are unexplained and might not be the case for every couple at every clinic 💋
Our time frame was feb 2016 GP appointment> April 2016 told referred to NHS (first step more tests)> sept 2016 hysteroscopy> results Nov 2016 and put on NHS IVF waiting list> Sept 2017 reached top of list but months more consultations and paperwork >feb 2018 began actual treatment.
Hope that helps give some kind of idea of journey/timescales as I had no clue! Bit I believe it can be different from everyone depending on where you are and the waiting list (and this COVID situation 😤) xx
