I have quite a few frosties and we are considering trying a FET. However, after having my son, my periods are still irregular between 25 and 45 days and have pcos. Can someone tell me the process in uk and aprox costs? Many thanks x

Hey Shannon, you'll find that clinics have varying protocols and costs. You would be best to contact the clinic that you are with and they will be able to give you at least the medication costs. Protocols can very from person to person too so they may not be able to tell you what they would do for you until they check you notes. Just to give you an idea mine cost €1500 but I have mine done abroad. You then need the drugs cost on top and mine are around £150.xx
Close to 10k by the time you do tests buy drugs and process itself.
Find private clinic, lots of forms to fill in, do tests they recommend, start injections and have transfers. Once positive result they discharge you and pregnancy care goes back to NHS. Good luck.
Hi, I have irregular cycles and PCOS also. It shouldn't matter because they usually put you on drugs to modify your natural cycle anyway. In my protocol I'll be on injections for 3 weeks to suppress my cycle, they also would give estrogen to thicken my lining and scans to check it, and then take progesterone for 5 days before embryo is put back in. Everywhere does things different. For me the cost is about 3 to 4k in total (for FET only). Best of luck to you xx
Hi Shannon. Clinics do have their own way of preparing you for an FET transfer. Obviously they need to get you into a regular cycle, so different medication is used to do this quite successfully, so try not to worry. Good luck! Diane
