Recovery after ectopic

Good morning all,

Hope everyone is ok and staying safe!

I just wanted to ask how quickly it took ppl to physically feel normal after ectopic pregnancy? I had keyhole surgery 3.5 weeks ago but I’d say I’ve felt normal again over the last week and I really want to get back into yoga and also wondering how long ppl waited to have sex again. My coping mechanism is and always has been get back in the saddle and keep fighting for what you want and I really think yoga helped me.

I’ve read all the leaflets but they contradict themselves from 1-2weeks to 4-6 weeks to do gentle exercise.

Experiences from others would be great!

Thanks x

Hello I’m so sorry about your ectopic!for me personally I’ve not been down that road but I’d like to offer support in regards to recovery please listen to your own body as it is laparoscopy surgery they say standard recovery is 4/6 weeks but this is only a guide everyone recovers differently.again I’m so sorry sending baby dust x

I would agree with Afrohair, you know your body best so if you think you’re ready to try some gentle yoga, then I really don’t see why you shouldn’t.

I honestly don’t know about sex though, I would maybe ask your doctor especially if you’re planning to ttc again in case it’s best to wait a cycle or two xx

Hi Sarah. So sorry to hear that you have suffered this, and hope you've got some support just now. My advice would be, to wait until you've had a normal period, then ease back into your yoga etc. Even with a key hole, they had to cut through some thick material, so needs time to heal. Thinking of you. Diane
