My first ivf

Hey my lovely’s!

So this is my first ever post and my first time doing ivf. I had my embryo transfer last Saturday and having my pregnancy test Tuesday. Sooo I’ve been so nervous and impatient as me and my partner have been struggling for years. Thursday I decided to buy the 3 pack first response pregnancy tests. I took my first test on that Thursday and came back negative. I was so devastated, then two days later I woke up and just had this gut feeling to do one again. It came back with two lines the second line was a little faint but not a very faint if you know what I mean. I couldn’t believe it so I took another one maybe a hour later and still again two lines. Then I wanted to test again in that afternoon and two lines again except the second line was a bit darker then the last tests. I also took one again this morning and again two lines. I’ve been cramping since the embryo transfer and felt very bloated also. There was a time there when my breast was a little tender and also a little bit of nausea but don’t know if that was one of the side effects from the gel. I’m so nervous I just don’t know how to feel right now I can’t wait for Tuesday but I’m so scared at the same time. 🙄🙂 xx

Hi huni, if the lines are getting darker that’s a really good sign as it means your hcg is increasing. I believe they like to see it doubling every 48 hours on average in the early days so don’t waste your time testing more than every 2 days & test first thing in the morning as that’s when hcg is most concentrated. If you can avoid testing now till your official test day though it will be kinder to your mental health. Don’t worry it compare symptoms you are very early & every pregnancy is different but most importantly you are pregnant CONGRATULATIONS enjoy this time and stay safe xxx
