I had two embryos put in and now I am just over 5 weeks pregnant had abit of cramping and brown discharge my clinic wasn’t bothered but I couldn’t relax so had a private scan done last night and there was a little jelly bean with a heartbeat everything fine... but what has happened to my other is that a silly question? Has my body just absorbed it?

What happens to my other embryo that didn’t implant
I had two embryos transferred and am pregnant with a singleton. As far as I understand, the embryo that didn’t implant is just absorbed by your lining. I am aware that some women do get bleeding and are told this is the embryo that didn’t implant coming away. I didn’t get any bleeding. Congratulations on your pregnancy x
I also had 2 embryos transferred and found out yesterday at my 6 week scan that there is only one. I do recall having serious cramping around 15 days post my transfer for a couple of days and nothing since so wonder if that was when the one broke down and got absorbed into my lining. My cramps were really strong period pains and I really thought that I was going to start bleeding but thankfully and may it continue to be a healthy pregnancy. Quite sad really when I think about it, and such a weird thing that one didn’t make it but the other one did. Congratulations and hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!
Yeah I’ve been having bad period pains and thought I must be coming on and about to bleed... so now Im thinking maybe that is what is was? Yeah it’s weird isn’t it I feel sad but happy I have one that made it .. congrats to you aswell 💖
