Success stories with Donor eggs first time around? I can't have a child with my own eggs, but I am not sure I can take failure from DE. Do I adopt? Just looking for positive DE stories.

Successful Donor Egg stories
Will PM you x
I had to have donor eggs I’m currently 6 weeks 2 days pregnant and my first ivf round my donor was my sister xx
My sister offered me her eggs, but she is nearly 36 so I think I might be better with younger eggs. Congratulations to you, and thank you fur responding.
My sister is 36 but her egg count was that of a 22/24 year old , never say never xx
My fourth time doing ivf I used donor eggs, we bought a lot of 7 eggs, by day 5 we had two early blasts so doc implanted both and one took, I’m 38 weeks. That was our first time using donor eggs. Frozen donor eggs not fresh
I’m currently just over 13 weeks pregnant with my first round of donor egg transfer. One 5 day fresh blastocyst.
Hi I had DE as I was advised that my eggs would not be very good quality. I had a fresh transfer . My donor produced 9 eggs and 6 of them fertilised . I had a 5 day Blastocyst transferred . I got a positive pregnancy first time. I now have an 8 month girl who is my world💕. So many people say she looks like me!! . 😊 I wish you all the best in your decision . Xxx
Thanks Sazzysah, that's so good getting 6 fertilised eggs and the positive pregnancy first time! All these positives are helping me gain the strength it is possible.
I had a successful transfer first time around ( with a new clinic ) I couldn’t believe it- now I was prepared to have a few shots - but to our surprise it worked first time and I was mega stressed with work! We went to a clinic abroad and they were amazing , happy to give a recommendation- just pm me.
I also have a son conceived naturally. I’m now 20 weeks! Xx
Also just to say Yellow 611- many people do go though several transfers even using DE - so you kind of need to be prepared it might not happen first time. Although the process of using donor eggs rather than ivf with your own eggs is much easier on your body and you take much less medication - it also depends on how you want to become a mum again/ I was sure I wanted to birth my second child - but if you are happy to adopt then that’s your choice too. All the best whatever you decide. X
Hi hun. I'm 12 weeks pregnant with donor eggs. This was my third round with donor eggs. DE gives you the best chance because your age and egg quality is no longer an issue. But I just warn you that there are a lot of women that had to keep trying with donor eggs. There is no guarantee that you'll get pregnant the first time. The DE that worked for me was the weakest of the 5 I had. I had huge Hope's for my first two DE transfers of 2 eggs each time. But they didn't work. To my surprise the one that worked was the weakest out if the 5. I just want you to know that DE aren't a miracle answer. Sometimes you still have to be strong and keep going to achieve your goal. Best of luck. X
Thank you for sharing your story! I had two transfers with DE one resulted in a chemical pregnancy and the second didn’t implant. I had thought that DE would take first go! But knowing it can take a few goes has give me a lot of hope Xxxx congratulations on your pregnancy!!
I had a CP first time with my first double DE transfer and BFN with my second DE transfer. It was my third transfer that worked. Keep going and never give up hope. X
Thanks for joining in the thread. Having listened to the journeys on here we have decided to buy 9 frozen eggs from an egg bank, we think that will be our final go. Financially we can't afford to do another round after this as we want to use DE from the UK. We are just praying that at least 3 fertilise and then hopefully one will take. We are up against it though as our sperm quality is poor, however we didn't want sperm and egg donors. It feels like we were set up to never have children with both our issues, but fingers crossed this will work.
We are on track to be fertilising eggs at the end October, but in the past two weeks the grief of not having my own DNA child has really overwhelmed me. It's almost be involuntary and just poured out of me, but I think it's also the fear that if this doesn't work that's it.
Scary times and lockdown really hasn't helped x
Hi I’m 7 months pregnant from a donor egg cycle. Ended up with 5 blasts from the cycle , it was my third transfer of the last blast I had the weaker one that worked . I’m having a little girl and I’m due in June. Still can’t believe it . It’s a very difficult emotional journey and I wish you all the luck in the world x
Thank you lollypop, I am so pleased to hear is all worked out for you and it's great to hear that weaker ones can also work.
I’m 7 weeks pregnant with twins using donor eggs. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. The decision to move to donor was the hardest decision I ever made. Xx
