Losing hormone weight: I did my ivf I... - Fertility Network UK
Losing hormone weight
Hello, you might be better off joining the weight loss group on healthunlocked as this page is the fertility network.
Just an idea though, you may not be eating enough, which is why you aren't losing, if you are exercising too then your body will be storing fats. It's all about a good balanced diet combined with sensible exercise and not trying to find a quick win as this is not sustainable.
I hope this helps you.
Check out james smith PT. Hes on instagram and Facebook. He has an app filled with work outs for at home and the gym. He talks a lot of sense and doesnt fill you with false ideas. I lost 3 stone using his advise and following him. So much more motivating than things like weight watchers.
Hi Hayet
I do gentle 20min HIT classes by Jillian Michaels (30 day shred DVD) 3-4 times a week to lose - it’s a combination of strength, cardio & weights (just 1kg in each hand) that really works for me.
Also a standing/sitting desk is good so you’re not sitting all day, Drink lots of water to flush out toxins and help you go to the loo.
It’s good to get advice from a nutritionist as they will do all the tests you need and tailor your diet lifestyle choices to you specifically, as we’re all unique. I increased my magnesium citrate and potassium bicarbonate supplements. I cut out bread, pasta and dairy and seriously reduced meat, and increased vegetables and pulses. I also do intermittent fasting twice a week (12-15hrs overnight between dinner and breakfast) so the body is trained to draw on fat reserves rather than the glucose in your blood. The body also cleans up cell debris in this time so it’s important to give our bodies a break from food so it has energy to clean up and repair.
Also look at your mind/body connection. Is there any reason you may be subconsciously wanting to hold onto your fat? Does it allow you to avoid anything you don’t want to do?
Any fad diet won’t work. I agree with KayCan, it has to be a balanced lifestyle choice so it’s sustainable.
Hope this helps. Xx
