weight loss and fertility
hi ellah263 I to am losing weight to give me a better chance to fall pregnant dr has said this may help but I am not convinced as I have always weighed the same weight and 12 yrs ago fell pregnant only to miscarriage but then whos to say that may be the reason I lost, any way I have tried every diet going as I just get depressed cause cant have what want and weight loss is too slow so I tried exante diet bit like lighter life but at less than half the cost and as I don't but any other food it is cheaper. the weight comes off quick it is very hard to stick to but I am just trying to keep the bigger picture in mind and the benefits may be worth it good luck
Hi Ellah - I find walking is a good way to exercise even if just using the stairs at work and going for a post dinner walk around the block - it all adds up. I can't for other health reasons do too much strenuous exercise so walking is the only option for me at the minute. For the diet I thought about the foods that are holding my weight loss back - mainly cheese and chocolate and (for now) I've cut them out my diet. I've also reduced the portion size for the rest of the food I eat. The chance at having a family is motivation enough Good luck, Vix x
I have lost 1 1/2 stone since June (after a blip in the summer hols), still technically got another 2 1/2 stone to go. It is really hard at times but got to keep focused on the end goal. I'm following weight watchers which is great as you can still have the treats, just in moderation. Have also taken up Zumba and started the couch to 5k running programme (I'm far from being a natural runner!).
Still have my down days where I'm annoyed at having to diet when it seems to happen for everyone else so easily... positive mental attitude! Good luck!
Hi. I am waiting for my IVF referral in a month and just need to lose a few pounds to ensure my BMI is low enough. I could do with losing quite a few pounds to be honest but as long as I am at the BMI by Dec I will be happy for now! I have done the Dukan diet twice this past year - once for my wedding and then my first IVF weigh in at the docs. It really does help shift the pounds. I LOVE my food but when I started seeing results fast it motivated me! Yes of course exercise is important to and Ive started getting back into that too! Once you lose the weight you need to you just eat more sensibly and exercise.. I gained mine back after my xmas wedding (who doesnt hog food at xmas!) and my honeymoon this summer. Started Dukan again on Monday 4th and Ive lost 5lbs in three days eating loads of lean meat, eggs, fat free yoghurts...etc. Worth a try?
